I know for the average bodybuilder you can only put on 5lbs a muscle a year, so how much is 5lbs in relation to size i.e. After i've put on 5lbs of muscle, how different will i like/how much bigger will my biceps/triceps get in inchs...

Cheers.

Well 5 lbs equals about 5 lbs of size, no one knows how you'll gain your muscle mass OP. If you put on muscle, you'll get bigger so I don't get your question? Do you want inches and measurements? Just go gain 5 lbs and measure yourself

Well if you were to slap 5 lbs of muscle on the average bodybuilder who does the standard routine, without fat gain, how much bigger would he look? I suppose what i'm asking is how much bigger can you get in a years training...

I'm not sure you can quantify this kind of thing. It depends on height, previous weight, and build. Even with all of those factors known, it wouldn't be more than a vague, uninformative "this much."

Just general reading of these forums/youtube video. 5lbs - 10lbs seems to be the general benchmark of the amount you can gain. Is this wrong then? /srs
