I know him well. He'll got to Green Bay or NY Jets. Mark it down. @JOHNMORN Are the Niners looking at Nnamdi Asomugha? about 14 hours ago via web

HAs said he'd like to play for Rex after having Rob in Oak. Also, his BFF is Charles Woodson in GB, would like reunion. @Qizzle75 Why Jets?

He's never played on a winning fb team - ever. Won't go from one team w/no playoffs since 02 for another. He wants to go to a proven winner.

If he'll be getting a bigger contract than Revis, no thanks.

He would be a perfect fit for how Dom Capers likes his corners to play.

Plus Woodson can't keep playing well forever.

Packers. PLZZZZZZZZZZ

LOL @ Jets? Really they already have two pro bowl caliber CB's

Highly doubtful if this happens. But, if it somehow does, this may be better for the Dolphins.

Shaun Ellis
Steve Weatherford
Brodney Pool
Tony Richardson
Braylon Edwards
Wayne Hunter
Trevor Pryce
David Harris
Robert Turner
Nick Folk
Antonio Cromartie
Lance Laury
Santonio Holmes
Eric Smith
Brad Smith
James Ihedigbo
Drew Coleman
Kellen Clemens

all free agents. Plus, they may have to cut some other expensive players, since I doubt they will let everyone walk. Odds are, Revis wouldn't really be worth it to NY. I guess they will have an incredible defense, but if they get him, they will probably have the worst offense in the league.

Cromartie is a bum. Dude gave up like 8 touchdowns this year. At least.

no way the jets would tie up that much money between two corners even if nnamdi and revis are the two best corners

JaxBrah
01-10-2011, 05:18 PM
Do you really think the jets can even afford him? Not many teams could afford him.

The jets would be idiots to put that much money into one position when thats already their strongest position as it is. They would have to unload a ton of players to bring him in

Packers dont spend big money on FAs. They have 2 young studs at CB right now. knowing ted thompson, it's unlikely.

matty_b_bop
01-10-2011, 05:21 PM
Ted Thompson doesn't like signing big names, nor would the Packers ever pay that much. He's not going to the Packers.

Woodson would move to SS/FS if he did, though.

if he comes to the Jets it will be Revis, Nnamdi, Bart Scott, Mangold, Sanchez and 48 scrubs

Sanchez is a scrub, so make that 49.

I'd lol at the jets having the 2 highest paid CB's in nfl history and not having any money to spend on anything else.

More than anyone. Unfortunately Bob McNair isn't too keen on opening up the wallet (despite being one of the wealthiest owners in the NFL).

just as the Raiders become competitive they lose one of their best players

wouldn't be surprised to see the Colts make a play for him

As a Jets fan, I think it would be great to grab him and drop Cromartie. Revis + Aso = best secondary in the league.

BLT's wanted him for awhile, I wouldn't be suprised if they make a run at him.

Colts run a cover 2. Nmandi would be a waste of money in that system.

I honestly think the Raiders will get him back, unless there is some rule that says they can't. It just seems that he will be too expensive to go anywhere, plus the need for him isn't as great as some people think. He alone, costs 4 times as much as all 5 of our Dolphins corners combined. That is Vontae Davis, Sean Smith, Nolan Carroll, Benny Sapp, and Nate Ness. Holy fuk.

You guys are not aware that Woody Johnson is the richest owner in the NFL, with the most cash flow in the team. Jerry Jones comes in third but gets all the hate for spending. Guess who's the second one.

unless he wants to go back to the Raiders it's not gonna happen. they can't even place a franchise tag on him.

from what's been said on ESPN/etc, he won't be a Raider next season.

wait, no they wont. they'll draft one in the 6th round and pay him 400k a year

That means nothing.

There will likely be a salary cap again next year. With the Jets having Harris and Holmes due for new contracts,(Pretty sure their going to let Braylon walk) they would most likely not have enough money to sign Aso unless he takes alot less money.

I understand, but is it possible for them to resign him at all? I am assuming it is. I don't see how they can keep a team from resigning a player if he wants to go back to that team, but I wouldn't know because NFL contracts and incentives are so damn confusing.

And ESPN is retarded. They'll have a report out tomorrow saying he will play in the UFL next year.

and probably turn that 6th round pick into a Pro Bowl starter.

Even if that's the case (which I'm not sure it is), there's a salary cap in the NFL; it's not like MLB where a rich team like the Yankees can spend infinite amounts of $.

That said, I think we have a few overpaid players I'd be willing to replace through the draft in order to have an Aso-Revis secondary.

Nobody mentioned baltimore? He would be perfect there, all there missing is pass d and adding the best corner in the league would solidify that
