No, drink up..... There is nothing wrong with coffee unless you are extremely sensitive to it or it negatively effects your sleep....maybe drink less or drink hot tea...

As with anything, in moderation coffee is fine.

Drink your coffee. It's more natural than soda will ever be.

You might be getting in more calories than you think with your coffee if you load it up with sugar or you get one of those blended drinks from Starbucks. Just straight up coffee has almost zero calories. With a few splashes of milk or 50/50, it's still very light on the calories. If you require sugar or blended Starbucks drinks, just fit it into your daily macros and you'll be just fine at the end of the day.

Soda is bad because it's loaded with high fructose corn syrup.

Coffee also loaded with antioxidents just like green tea and cocoa.

Nothin wrong with a large black coffee from Dunkin Donuts in the AM on the way to work. =)

Coffee is fine - drink up.

Also, might want to build some clarity around the specific terms "healthy" and "worse than soda". In what way are you thinking? Calories? Caffeine?

If you're looking to minimize calories just go black (no cream or sugar) or even opt for espresso. If caffeine is the issue, just go decaf.

Yeah, I also heard that soda is worse than coffee. Dont always believe what you hear or read. In MY opinion I would think coffee would be better because its natural and if you dont drink it with cane sugar theres no problem. Most muscle mags say to consume a certain amount of caffeine a day. I dont like coffee, but i dont think soda is an answer for anything, its just garbage calories and no nutritional benefits.

Coffee is fine in moderation. Just don't go overboard

Coffee has many mild benefits, but may not be the right drink for everyone. Some people notice nervous and jumpy effect it has on them as well as negative effect on skin tone.

And there is a lot to be said about moderation as well as quality of your coffee. In short 8 cups of instant coffee per day with 8 spoons of sugar is not the same as 1 cup of real coffee.

Coffee, like soda, will cause you to become catabolic, gain stomach fat, lose muscle and strength, and result in horrible caffeine hangovers... drink espresso instead! :D

No but srs, I'm like you in that I drink coffee (black) because I just like the taste of it, though if you're losing sleep then consider decaf.

How about an espresso/double-espresso two hours before working out?

At 14 you probably shouldn't drink coffee, or at least very much. The funny part is how he asked if he could start drinking it "again". Wonder when he started 10?

Not only is coffee natural and full of antioxodants but caffiene is a stimulant that will raise your metobolism and utalize fat as energy as well as thin your blood therfor easing blood circulation. IMO coffee is one of gods greatest gifts bc I cant live without it

Coffee is perfectly OK to drink. As mentioned earlier in this thread, anything in moderation is fine. Plus coffee is just water put through some coffee grounds/beans.

Don't stress, have a cup of coffee. :)

I didn't look at your age. Don't drink coffee. You started drinking it at 8 years old? Parenting FAIL.

Coffee > Soda

When you think about it, yeah, they both have caffeine, which is a good thing as long as you don't overkill, but it's very simple as to why coffee is healthier than pop. Soda has an ingredients list a couple inches tall. Coffee = Water run through beans.

It ain't brain surgery.

at 14, you should not be drinking coffee. I think most ppl didnt notice your age (I didn't until it was pointed out).
