10' Seahawks net points difference -97
08' Cards net points difference 1

The 08 Cards were far from a bad team too, they just mailed it in halfway through the season after the division was already locked up. (srs)

I was literally going to make the same thread.

2008 AFC West only had two 8-8 teams because they both got to play the absolutely horrendous 2-14 Chiefs two times.

7,7,6,5 >>> 8,8,5,2

I'm going by what I remember, and what I remember was the media and several people ****ting all over the Cardinals for making the playoffs, and people saying they were terrible.

edit - in fact, Kurt Warner himself: "Bummed the Rams couldn't pull the game out in Seattle, but wondering if now the '08 Cards lose title of 'Worst Playoff Team Ever'? SB 43? "

And in 2008 everyone was saying the 11-5 Patriots should have been in the playoffs. They were right then and they're right now.

Cards had a possible HOF QB, 2 top 10 WRs, and a good defense. Seahawks have Charlie Whitehurst, Mike Williams, and a mediocre defense.

0.1 chance of them winning against the Saints.

How is that relevant? It's the Saints that deserve a home game, not the Packers.

It must suck having to cheer for a division rival, a team you're supposed to hate, just for anything to grasp to that might stop your team from being the 3rd best team in the worst division of all time.

Not at all. I'm rooting for them because it'll make people like you angry if they win. Besides, 2008 AFC West is the worst of all time. And I'll take that as a no to my question... time is ticking, put that pen to paper. It must suck to be so upset about playoff seeding.

The Chargers won the 2008 AFC West. The combined record of the opponents that the Chargers beat was:

51-77, a winning % of .398

The Seahawks won the 2010 NFC West. The combined record of the opponents that the Seahawks beat was:
45-67, a winning % of .402

i dont get why people complain about other divisions. So what the NFC West sucks. People crying because their 10-6 teams didn't make it to the playoffs. Maybe they should win more games. Beat the teams within their division, rather than worry about the NFC West lol. don't blow leads in the 4th quarter and dont kick to DeSean Jackson

How did they play opponenets with different totals?
51+77 =128
45+67 =112

So if each team plays 16 teams that played 16 games = 256 games

I'm assuming that they don't count the 3 teams twice that are in their own confrence but even then.

256- (16x3) = 208 games

So I'm thinking that you're looking at mid season ranks brah

Oh gotcha teams they beat.... that doesn't really say much though IMO.

Because they won 1 more game those % will be off. I think a much better stat would be their record vs the win/loss % of their entire field of opponents. Maybe they played some reall really good teams and thats why they won less games. Or something along that lines.
