Boston doesn't have the balls to give Crawford the contract he wants after seeing what Werth got.

and lemme guess

NY has the "balls" to give out a max contract with a buncha years for a guy that relies on speed more than anything and will suck as soon as his speed starts declining

yea sounds like something the yankees would do......break the bank and then have a useless injured player making a ****load of money the last couple years

you got that

Nationals, they're gonna lock up Werth, Lee, and Carl for 7 years each, 525mil combined

lol, what? I just fukking said it would be the angels you idiot. New York won't go after any other big names after they pick up Lee. Red Sox already got the guy they were going for and needed, they don't even need Crawford and because Werth got so overpaid, Crawford is going to be looking for at least 7 years, probably 8 and 140-160 mil. You know damn well the Red Sox won't pay that, especially when they still have to fix their atrocious bullpen AND sign gonzalez to an extension.

My guess would be the Angels or Red Sox...but my vote is Angels.

Boston is way to smart to give Crawford the contract he wants after seeing what Werth got.

edit.

Crawford had a chance at coming here for like 5/80 (which is still overpaid) but 8/160? GTFO!!

Here are his season averages:

.296 BA/14 HRs/78 RBIs

For reference, his career OPS is .781. This year, that is around Adam Jones, Michael Young and Napoli.

Other AL players this year who have an OPS higher than .781: Abreau, Granderson, JD Drew, Daric Barton and Markakis.

His career OBP is .337. AL players this year with a higher OBP: Orlando Hudson, Juan Pierre, Elvis Andrus, Johnny Damon and Luke Scott, among others.

20M a year? Woudl you pay $20M a year for Markakis or Daric Barton?

The Sox don't want him now. The cost is too high and it'll give us too many LHH:

Ellsbury/Crawford/Gonzalez/Drew/Ortiz and a SH of Tek, who would bat lefty vs a RHP.

angels seems like the best fit

good luck everyone else in the AL east

Why aren't the Mets listed?

BRB having 3 overpaid bums who are preventing the Mets from spending this off-season. Omar Minaya FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

Oh wait Chris Young will be our big off-season splash? 2011 NL East Champions here we come.

unfortunatley the mets have like 5 dollars to spend this offseason
and so far weve only aqquired a backupcatcher who failed a drug test and a clumsy reliever

Angels.. Don't want to spend that kind of money, but Moreno said he will open up the wallet and throw some cash around this year. Look for us to sign a closer as well, and some bullpen help.

They already added takahashi to the pen to fill the left handed void they never filled last year when Oliver left. Crawford isn't going to be cheap, but he is definitely needed, not only for the offense, but to get Abreu's atrocious fielding onto the bench as a DH.

one guy isnt going to cut it in the pen. We should have never let Oliver go IMO. Crawford better produce. ID much rather have Abreu out there than Rivera. HE needs to go now. CAnnot stand the guy.

As long as the Sox don't sign him, I don't even give a ****.

Wouldn't mind seeing him on the Yanks though, the bitching that would ensue would provide many lulz.

you ever sit in left field and just watch Rivera? fat fukker spends most the game weezing. i'm with ya on Abreu over Rivera, but it's only because of the bat.

What about it? He's fast, which is something you lose quickly with age, and doesn't make him go from someone who "should" get like $12M to a guy that'll get 20M.

Yah haha, the last game I went to was against the Mariners and Ichiro hit a fly ball to him and it looked like he was going to faint trying to catch it.

Mets aren't listed because they're incompetent. They do not make good decisions.

lmao...In all your posts about the Mets you act like their a small market team. You think Perez, Castillo, and Beltran are the ones preventing the team to spend? LOL

The Mets are not the Yankees but are also not the Pirates. They have plenty of money...It starts at top with your stupid owners who refuse to put into the team.
