The Nationals owner is one of the richest owners in baseball(I think he's worth almost $4 billion) and the GM said after the Werth contract that they aren't finished yet.

the angels aren't gonna offer him 7 years, no way. if its them i'd be shocked.

its the yankees or nationals.

I just thought Lee cared more about a championship than money. Nationals would for sure be improved(possibly make the playoffs with Lee) but they're still a year or 2 away from contending. Without Strasburg the rotation just isn't strong enough. Plus the offense isn't even that great with Werth.

He'd have to be willing to stick around a below average to average team for a couple years.

if texas offers 6, he stays in texas. if they stick to 5, he walks to washington for 7 years, or possibly new york.

Article and twitter clearly says Cashman stated at the Meetings, that they will only go 6 years. Obviously we know this can change quickly with the Yankees but it say the team is not them.

Angels have plenty of money and had a dissapointing year last season.

Could be.

Lee's agent even said yesterday they were not out of it. If it is, would Lee take 7 years at not even a playoff team in Washington over New York or Texas (assuming both offer 6 years)?
