Nebraska fans say hi.

They got passed up by Mizzou to play in Bridgepoint Education Bowl vs. 6-6 Wash, who they already curbstomped once this season.

Iowa-Mizzou should be a good game.

Found a worse one.

Temple 8-4 regular season, including a W over a BCS team (well it was UConn, but still)

Bowl game........................

....................wait for it...................................

.............The 'stay at home and watch all of the 6-6 teams play instead bowl'

What a joke.

The insight is not that bad of a draw for Mizzou. Personally, I think they deserved the Cotton over Texas A&M. The insight actually upped its bowl payout this year making it the 4th best bowl for a big 12 team to get behind Fiesta, Cotton, and Alamo. We actually jumped NU to get it and we have a pretty sweet matchup with Iowa.

Laying that egg at TTech really hurt us. However, I am happy with this bowl. Iowa is a tough team that slumped towards the end of the year. They are definitely capable of beating us if we don't play our A game. It'll be a good one, I hope.

You haven't hit rock bottom until your team plays in the Liberty Bowl.

And the Big 12 homers wonder why Nebraska jumped ship as soon as they saw land.

Ya Im mad. It is politics though...the Big 12 bowls want to be good with the Big 12 teams for the future and the Huskers will never be in a Big 12 bowl game again even though their team is better, travels better, and gets better TV ratings than Okie State, Mizzou, and Texas A&M.

Which statement? UF isn't playing in the Liberty Bowl if that's what you're trying to infer.

Georgia is this year though, somehow. Might head down to Orange Mound to watch em play but I'm not sure if I wanna risk getting stabbed that much.

Let's see how well your team travels when they aren't playing within a 6 hour driving radius every week. You think Nubb fans are gonna travel to watch them play Indiana, Penn St, or Northwestern in late November? Hell no.

The quality of teams isn't usually that terrible, but I find it hard to imagine there's a worse location in the country to go play your reward game for having a good season lol.

That ****hole is 45 years old and has barely ever had any renovations done, down near the heart of the ghetto now, and is just a miserable freezing metal bowl with bleachers in it.

****in metal ass bleachers man, it's 2010. Theres a couple high schools around here I would rather watch a football game at.

I wouldn't mind that much if UF had gone to it though, I could at least get to the game easy as hell.

We will be playing Penn State and Iowa every year in late November. Iowa is a natural rival and Penn State is our given rival that we play every year even though they are in the other division. I think we will travel just fine for those games.

There is a difference in playing Notre Dame ONCE in a lifetime and playing some of these B10 schools every year. It's EASY to travel to Texas, where it's warm and a nice break from the Nebraska winter. But are you gonna travel to Ann Arbor to watch two 7-5 teams play in 0 degree temperatures?

Op you shouldn't be complaining about being in the insight bowl. Besides your team is gonna get raped by Iowa.

How many teams are going bowling with 6-6 records, losing record in conference and without a win as good as UConn?

That's not really Memphis, well, it is. But no one who isn't dirt poor in the greater Memphis area actually lives in that part of Memphis anymore. It would take me 35 minutes to get from my place to the Liberty Bowl and most of it would be on the freeway.

You are talking about the same Iowa team who has lost 3 in a row and all but packed it in this season? Ok, just checking

The immediate area surrounding the stadium is like Police Women of Shelby County style.

Yup. The stadium is right around the corner from the roughest neighborhood in all of the ghetto areas.

That show is ridiculous, I watched 3 episodes, never saw anywhere within 30 minutes of a place I might actually be at in any given day. They basically just ride around as deep into the ghetto as you can get.
