MJD will finish as the #1 RB in the NFL on a playoff team, and he will not get in the top 5 in MVP votes.

I think Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are going to be the two top dogs for the award come season's end. They are #1 and #4 in the league in passer rating this season respectively... Brady doing it with no names all around him and Rodgers doing it with no running game at all. I don't think there are any two other players in the NFL that have been expected to do so much for their offenses this year and have teams well over .500 as well.

Brady is playing awesome this year, leading the NFL in passer rating with no name talent all around him at the skill positions. If he keeps up his level of play and the Patriots take their division and go no worse than 3-2 in their last five games, I like his odds. He's had 7 games out of 11 with a 100+ passer rating this season and in two of the games he wasn't over 100, he had 90.5 and 82.7, which aren't even that bad for most quarterbacks.

As for Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay, if the playoffs started today, they wouldn't be in. Rodgers has been on a TEAR his last 4 games completing just about 75% of his passes, racking up about 350 yards of total offense a game with 12 total touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and just 1 turnover during that time. If he is able to keep playing at that level during the next four games and Green Bay is able to win the NFC North and get in the playoffs, he'd have a strong claim for MVP too. Green Bay still has to play at New England and then has two games with playoff implications to close the year against the Giants and Bears. An impressive stretch from him to end the season against those teams would really bolster his MVP claims.

If Brady claps the Jets cheeks tonight, MVP is his to lose, if not, it's:
1.Brady
1A.Vick
2.Rivers
3.Rodgers

idk if rivers is still in it at this point. he hasnt had a great game since the bye. first two they didnt need it but yesterday was not good for his mvp chances

I consider Rivers still in top 3 cause he's been the 2nd most consistent behind Brady
Vick was out for a few weeks and Rodgers sucked bigtime a few games

Maybe ur right, Rivers will be out of the running if he has another bad week next week

I'm a huge Falcons fan and Matt Ryan is not in the running. The MVP on the Falcons this year is Roddy White.

if he continues his first half performance and we win the division, he'll probably win it. if we dont make the playoffs though no chance and if we make it winning with d/running game like we did against indy/denver then also probably not. so we'll see. i hope he does though (mainly cause it would mean we ended the season well)

no brady homer, but do you guys think goodell would be happy to give vick an mvp? is that a good story or a bad story for him?

Probably this. Rodgers played pretty poor for a few games so his numbers/consistency havent been there all season. He has been lights out the past 4-5 weeks though so if he continues to play against the packers final schedule-- giants, pats, bears-- he could move into real consideration.

Brady and Vick top 2

Chargers are 6-6. If Brees didn't get it throwing for 5000 yards on a .500 team in one of the best divisions, Rivers won't get it on a .500 team in one of the worst divisions. Let's throw Rivers out of the discussion. Right now:

1. Brady
2. Vick
3. Rodgers
4. Who cares?

This guy

not srs

EDIT: By looking at the remaining sched, I guess this upcoming game doesnt clinch the division but eliminates SD. AllKC would have to do though is win 1 game after the SD one to clinch.
