So far I have been bulking for 4-5 weeks. Ive gone from 176-183/5lbs so a gain of 7-9lbs. The first 4 lbs went on in the first week as I carbed up. My weight has been bouncing from 183-185 up and down for 10 days now.

I know 9 lbs is alot but I don't look to have gained much fat.

I'm thinking of upping the cals from 2.6k to 3k in a week or so?

Any ideas?

Thanks guys.

If you have gained 10 lbs in 4-5 weeks your already putting on too much weight too quickly, I wouldnt raise your cals til your gains start to plateau

if you wanna be 100% sure, why don't you carb deplete for 3-4 days and weigh yourself again to see how much you've gained ?
Or alternatively, you can just up the cals for 2 weeks and see what happens.

hope this helps..

Thats the point. My weight is bouncing between 183-185 and has been for 10 days.

My question is how long should you wait when you have stopped gaining weight before adding cals? 2-3 weeks sound good?

I did this a few weeks back. I'm sure if a do a few days at low carb then I'll be back at 180.

then increase the cals for two weeks and deplete the carbs again and see how much you've gained. This should give you the most precise answer.
