Miami Dolphins: 3-3

All 3 losses are to the top 3 teams in the league. Yet, they are still ranked 16th in the NFL (6 spots behind the Packers, who they beat last week).

Mind boggling.

This thread is now about Lebron James.

using espn's rankings for week 7

Browns are ranked 28th and the teams they lost to have a combined record of 23-9

Chargers rank 24 and the teams they lost to have have a combined record of 19-13

Cowboys rank 26 and the teams they lost to have a combined record of 20-14

Broncos rank 27 and the teams they lost to have a combined record of 20-13

yet the Browns rank below the last 3 teams and also beat Cinci and N.O. (2 teams ranked higher than cleveland) and also were in every game (losing 3 by 12 points) but the Atl (rank 5) and Pitt (rank 1) game.

so the ranking system is based off of where you started and not exactally on who you beat. Pretty much like the BCS except they don't take in account who you beat or lose to....so it is basically a crab shoot of what espn people think.....if that gives you any insight on how poorly it is done.

Packers had clay matthews and Lee return this week (didn't pay against miami), and al harris and bigby are now off of the physically unable to perform list and will hopefully hit the field in the next couple weeks.

If you are going by POWER rankings, then returning all of these players certainly adds to their potential... but we are talking about the packers here who will probably go find a new way to lose in the last minute of the game or in OT again.

All of the packers losses have either come in OT or the last second of the game (bears), and while many of their studs are out for the year, they are slowly starting to get a few players back here and there. Because of the close losses, and the return of a few key players, it isn't THAT absurd to put them ahead if you are going by POWER.
