View Full Version : Starting Up - Need advice

Hi everyone,

It's been about 2 weeks since I started weight training. I'm following the fat loss program posted on the main page. I've read a few things on the forums about the necessity of supplements, how is not really mandatory if you keep a good diet and training regime.

Honestly I think my food intake is pretty messed up, I don't eat as often as I should nor as healthy as I should. So I am trying to fix that with time. Most of the time I spend it at work and I don't bring enough food to fit my workout. I was wondering, would you guys say it will be good for me to get a protein shake? Have some 1.5hrs before weight training and another one right after workout? Is this going to mess me up? I haven't noticed any physical improvements yet and I'm worried that I am burning muscle instead of fat.

I'm looking at 2 products currently.

100% Whey Protein - the vanilla icecream
Syntha-6 - same flavour

Any help would be appreciated.
