Like, does a team NEED to win multiple championships to be considered a dynasty in your opinion? Are the Bills of the early 90s a dynasty? Were the Braves a dynasty with only their one championship?

What do you think?

a dynasty is when a family of rulers controls a vast empire for hundreds of years

a sports dynasty requires multiple championship in a reasonably short period of time

3 or more championships in less than a decade.

over 10 years...at least 2 championships and a transition between core groups of players without a substantial drop in play.

3 championships in 5 years, or other playoff factors

not at all, i consider late 80s 49ers, mid 90s cowboys, late 90s yankees, mid 80s oilers, mid 80s lakers n celtics as dynasties. and a little homer but mid 70s flyers

NY Islanders in early 80's = dynasty
Steelers in the 70's = dynasty
Edmonton Oilers in mid to late 80's = dynasty

A team that won 0 championships in 4 years =/= dynasty

I think you should have to win at least one championship and come close to several others before you can become a dynasty at all. Being good for a decade doesnt count.

As a Chiefs fan i have to stretch back awhile for this one but the 60s Chiefs were definitely a dynasty- 3 AFL championships and 1 NFL championship and HoF'ers at QB, DT, and LB. Also a HoF coach and HoF owner.
