Working on my diet and have made a lot of changes so far. One things that I have a hard time with is breakfast. I'm a college student so I'm broke 99% of the time and can't afford to make steaks for breakfast and I can't stand eggs/fish.

I was just wondering what kind of protein heavy breakfasts yall have that don't have eggs/fish in them. My diet throughout the rest of the day is pushing it on meeting my protein needs and would like to add some with this meal. Currently eating cereal/sandwiches but finding a way to get more protein in the mornings would be nice. I've thought about and tried just a protein shake with my meals but I usually don't feel to great after that early in the morning.

1/2 cup of oatmeal, 1 scoop of whey powder. Mixy mixy and enjoy for a good quick breakfast. I've also found a whey and oatmeal shake to be oddly satisfying.

Have you tried a good omelette? I personally can't stand the taste of plain eggs or the smell, and thinking about where they came from grosses me out. But I love a good omelette.

Oatmeal is cheap...add some protein/banana/peanut butter/ect... to it and you should be golden.

protein and oatmeal is fantastic like everyone else said, but also you could do cottage cheese with protein, peanut butter, fruit, etc. Also, French toast is a good way to get eggs in without having to taste them at all.

What you can do is buy large buckets of Nature Yogurt (If you can, try and find "Greek" yogurt, tastes better and has more proteins in it) and add Banana's/Whey/Oats/almonds/cashews/fruits/honey...

Usually when in a rush i put Banana's, half a scoop whey, Oats, almonds and a bit of honey for sweetness. Tastes amazing and its an easy 20-30g of prots. High on fats tho due to yogurt/nuts so make sure it fits your macros!

any particular flavor of whey to put in the oatmeal? I'm not seeing my normal chocolate in there but if any of you have tried it let me know or if I should try a different flavor(choc is usually what I get).

I put chocolate whey and a scoop of peanut butter in my oatmeal.

Or strawberry whey with some blueberries or other fruit.

Or vanilla whey with some cinnamon and honey.

I'd imagine any flavor could be added.

Oatmeal, skim milk, handful of nuts.

I agree, milk is always a good protein source on a budget and you can get old fashion oats dirt cheap.

I blend a healthy cereal with raw oats. sprinkle some protein powder on top and add skim milk. Probably runs me about $20 - $25 every 2 weeks.
