Gonna be a total homer here, but Mike Williams (USC) is my pick.... He has been out of the league for TWO YEARS, didn't do well in his time in DET, and looked totally motivated (and played very well) in the preseason and is a starter now

My backup pick is Tatupu, made the probowl his first 3 years, had a year where he played hurt, then missed 11 games last season, supposedly he is fully healthy now and if true and goes back to pro bowl form, should be a likely candidate.

Derek Anderson is in the best position for it. Larry Fitzgerald sho' am a fine WR1

as for Tatupu, I'm not sure he'll beat Hawthorne to the ball often enough.

the best position for it? that's the dumbest thing i ever heard. yoiu're not in the "best position" for it unless you're an awesome player

but seriously, i'm expecting at least an MVP from him after miami goes 12-4

Derek Anderson is a reasonable candidate, as for Tatupu he is going to be the MLB (obviously) so he'll have more looks for tackles, not to mention who knows what the hell they're going to do at OLB with Hawthorne/Hill once Hill is eligible to play

Hill took a huge pay cut. He'll be traded and Hawthorne is far more of a splash player than Hill.

Because of legal problems, has nothing to do with on-the-field performance.

Hawthorne is solid against the run, but VERY spotty in pass-defense.

The way they have it set up, both of their contracts end this season, they will keep both for the duration of the season and sign whichever is cheaper/fits the scheme better. Both will get decent PT.

Todd Collins. I've said it for his entire career. Dude wins games and is a pro bowl caliber QB.

Actually if he can stay healthy I'd put him above Tatupu, but still not quite the comeback Mike Williams will make simply due to him never having the success he was expected of in the first place (yes I realize that's not by definition a comeback, but the voters don't take the term literally)

That would be sick. My good buddy and former roommate is a huge buccs fan. I got to watch caddy get hurt every year.

Unless Mike Williams comes through and has a huge year, it's gonna be Wes Welker. He's made a miraculous recovery so far, took him only 8 months to get fully healthy when it usually takes a year. Nobody expected him to be anywhere near ready by now and he's gonna be starting week one.

tomlinson would be awesome if he had a great year after all the crap he's gotten outta san diego. I think tom brady will have a better year than the last few, he's put up decent numbers, but nothing "great" and he's always been in the shadow of manning as far as great QBs in the AFC the past couple years, I'm lookin to see that he'll come out of his slump and win some big games.

He got hurt in the last game of the season and had a pro bowl season...not sure if just coming back from an injury would be considered comeback player type season.

wait what? Last year Brady had his 2nd best season of his career. The year before that he was injured, and the year before that he had a record breaking season. I fail to see any slump.
