1 » Bad news coming out of Minnesota Vikings training camp as the team has received a roster exception for former Florida Gators wide receiver Percy Harvin, indicating that the 2009 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year will not be returning to the team anytime soon. The specific exemption, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune is “left squad.” Harvin, who is in Minnesota, has been dealing with serious migraine headaches since his grandmother passed away a few weeks ago.

He'll probably be back right around when Favre makes his decision. Why work in with a QB who will ride the pine all season?

I hope he doesn't just drug himself up with anti-depressants and force himself back in the lineup. That's a recipe for disaster! Grief is not a drug deficiency!

OP is misleading everyone.

This is just so Harvin isn't counted against the 80 man roster. The Vikings sent him a "5 day report" letter stating that he has to report within 5 days or the Vikings have the option to place him on the "reserve/left camp" list. On the second list, he could be ineligible for the entire season but that's only if the Vikings want to place him on the list. It's completely up to the Front Office on what they want to do. The NFL is not forcing them to do anything.

Suffering from migraines so he missed almost all training camp. Front office had to list him as something so this was it. Percy will not be leaving this team anytime soon.

They sent him the letter because they had to from my understanding. To do whatever they were planning on doing, they had to send him this letter (and thus have documentation) showing that they sent him a letter.

It's not a big deal.

You ever had extreme migraines? If not, shut up. If so, you're full of sh*t cause they completely debilitate you.

Hoping this has nothing to do with his troubles in the past. Not saying he doesnt have migranes, but its a pretty good cover for someone that A. Doesnt want to go to camp or B. Is having issues with smoking.

Harvin has his family in Minny so hopefully this all works out for the best. Dude is fun as hell to watch.
