I just want to start this off by stating I have used the search button. With that being said this whole cut and bulk think has my head hurting. I'm at 188, my goal was around 200. Even at 188 I have a good deal of belly fat so I would assume I should keep cutting, but in return I also want to build muscle mass. With what I've read this is nearly impossible on a caloric deficient diet. So what gives guys? BTW I'm supplementing whey protein in my diet, so cut first then bulk but what if I'm happy with my overall weight it's just my midsection that is lackluster, could I lose that whilst building muscle mass or should I cut till my belly fat is gone then start bulking.

I say start cutting and that way you have a clean slate to work from

when bulking you will always add some fat with muscle regardless

ps whey protein isn't any magic thing - you can just get it from foods
