I know there are a few other golf fans here so I figure I'd make this.

Guys are just destroying the course now, but it should get tougher in the next few days with conditions changing. I'm thinking -10 will win it.

Tiger is on his game and if he keeps doing so he'll win. He rarely loses momentum after a good first round and he loves this course, so he's certainly the favorite.

McIlroy was actually second in odds on sportsbooks going into this week and he's looking insane right now so I think we might see a Rory/Tiger pairing on Sunday. Westwood is playing great and the tourney is in Europe, so I won't be shocked if he makes a run.

Also love hearing Rocco commentate, great addition, especially since Faldo is playing instead of commentating.

Watched a bit earlier. Rory McIlroy had an awesome round today. Would love to see him win it but its a bit early to be thinking about that! Tiger is looking like he's approaching his best. We know it would be a matter of "when" rather than "if". He'd be disappointed with his last 2 holes. He should be sitting on -7 right now.

Didn't get up early enough to see the live coverage but watching it now.

Man, Daly had a chance to go really low, set a record. Been watching McIlroy since he came on the scene, kid is good. I laughed when on golf forums the UK guys were saying he'd win a major soon a couple yrs. back but not now.

Ideally, I'd love to see Tiger/Daly in final pairing going at it for the championship. Chances of that are still slim but not none.

Yea Tiger is getting back into the groove... and that means trouble for anyone else. I don't care who you are, if you see 'Woods' on the scoreboard only 1 or 2 shots back, you'll be shiitting your pants. Tiger doesn't usually take a huge lead in the first round anyways, but if he plays well and looks to be on his game, then the tourney is over.

Haha yea my sleep schedule has been messed up so I woke up at like 4am and realized that the tourney was on... watched it for 8 hours and then some.

Seeing Daly play well is just so awesome (and I know other golf fans agree). He looks old as hell, but he also looks semi-healthy. I remember going to the PGA at Whistling Straits (amazing place btw) and seeing him have a Slim-Fast advertisement on one sleeve and a Dunkin' Donuts ad on the other... lol. Really good guy overall though and I hope he does well.

Rory is legit, especially playing European courses. I was shocked when I looked at the odds and saw him right behind Tiger in the odds to win it all. He's got a cool head, which means everything, and he's just consistent. Gonna be some great players to watch in the next few days.

It just seems like whenever Tiger puts up a decent first round, then the tournament is over. He never messes up during the weekend, and when he's on... he's on. It's also a huge mental mind-f*ck for the other players (don't care if it's Phil or a 15yo old amateur... seeing "Woods" on the scoreboard will scare the hell out of you) when you know that one of the best athletes of all time is on his game.

Really want to go to the event sometime. Been to the other 3 majors (Augusta is the most amazing place on Earth btw), but the Open seems like it's so unique.

Overly excited for the weekend!
