in terms of pitcher domination. Danks had a 2-hitter today and Oswalt had a 1-hitter

so is this just a one off year or do you guys think we're gonna see this trend continue?

It'll continue until hitters start taking copious amounts of steroids again.

Definitely think it is here to say. It has been going on since the beginning on the season and isn't letting up. No fluke.

Hitters have neither amphetamines nor steroids to help them anymore. It won't be long before the new secret drug comes out to help them, but until then this is the new norm. Pitchers have also become a lot better, healthier, and stronger. Pitches like the splitter and cutter became popular within the last 20 years, and more than a handful of pitchers can throw a fastball above 95 mph these days, and without steroids and amphetamines for the hitters to equalize, the balance of power has shifted to the pitchers.
