lol freddy adu. he plays professionally somewhere overseas but jozy altidore ended up being the better phenom.

His name is Freddy Adu, like everyone said.

It wasnt so much so that he was a bust, but rather that he choose to stay in the US and play in the MLS instead of going overseas to a club where he would be able to sharpen his skills and become a complete player.

i thought about this awhile ago. didnt he go straight to MLS, get destroyed, so they put him in development camps, and then leave to europe?

I'm not buying that. It's not like the MLS guys are a bunch of downs syndrom retards.

Adu is riding the bench over in Europe. The bottom line was he was awesome at 14 but just didn't progress as he got older.

This happens pretty often to young phenoms in several sports. Some just can't adjust from big fish in small pond to small fish in big pond.

doesn't ride the bench, starts for a good team in Greece and is an influential player

My bad. I just assumed he rode the bench becuase he couldn't make the national team.

Yeah he's only 21, but he was suppose to be a super star. That obviously is not going to happen.

Freddy Adu, he is current playing in Greece. Was sold to Benfica from Real Salt Lake. Had a loan spell at Monacco.
