how bad does it suck when your guy just walks and you get nothing in return?

I bet you're pissed your GM didn't trade him last season. JJ Hickson at 1.5 mill for this season & 2.3 mill next season which is a team option.

instead you have hakim warrick @ 18 mill over 4 years and he isn't even as good as hickson.

if the raptors get nothing for bosh then epic fail

If I remember right, the cavs weren't willing to part with Hickson.

Not mad that we didn't trade him earlier though. We were 2 games away from reaching the finals last season.

Not mad. Like proshark said the Cavs didn't want to part with Hickson and the team made a deep playoff run with Amare. I wouldn't want the Suns signing him for 5 years/$100M anyways, so life goes on. The suns are in a sh*tty position though because they should be good enough to sneak into the playoffs with Nash still playing, so they won't be picking up any lotto picks to rebuild around until nashty retires/leaves.

http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/index.ssf/2010/02/cleveland_cavaliers_reportedly.html

"The Cleveland Cavaliers are ready to trade center Zydrunas Ilgauskas and power forward J. J. Hickson to the Phoenix Suns for All-Star power forward Amare Stoudemire, if Phoenix agrees to the deal, ESPN.com reports, as according to sources it has spoken with."

is that wrong or did the suns turn it down?

This is an awfully Troll/obnoxious thread

assuming PHX fans are mad because Amare signed with another team.

wrong

1. NY is making a huge, huge mistake giving Amare that contract. YOU ARE NOT GETTING LEBRON..GET OVER IT. Amare with no 2nd superstar is an average' your probably still not gonna make the playoffs' player.

2. Amare without steve nash and the best 3pnt % shooters on the outsides dishing to him, guys gonna flounder. guarantee it. Nash spoon fed amare all his points

3. guys inconsistent. sucks at defense. doesnt know what rebounding means. and will probably put out little effort now hes got the big money

Suns fans are not mad. he was entertaining, but did not assist in winning a championship.

and 2ndly, u mad Suns are gonna have biggest cap space next season?

somebody say Melo?

Dude dig this.

R u ready?

Dig it:

Amare's career stats: 21ppg & 9rpg in 35mpg with Stevie's Suns.

Ok?

So far so good?

Ok, now dig this:

Hakim Warrick's career numbers: 10ppg & 4rpg in 20mpg.

Play him at Amare's position in Stevie's Suns?

20ppg and 9rpg, easy.

That's what Stevie does for u, IF u can run a pick and roll good.

so essentially,

yes, you are mad.

the point was that they should've traded him when they had the chance. I would've bet the house last season that the suns weren't going all the way.

and lol @ melo going to the suns. more like he reups with the nuggets (most likely) or peaces to the knicks.

Not a Suns fan, but did you see amare against the lakers?? He is no where near a max player and if i was a Suns fan i would be glad to see him go

Yeah, they could have traded him, but really, any solid PF that can pick and roll and only commands like 20% of what Amare (or whoever he was traded for) would cost u, is still good.

They drafted 2 good PF's this year + they got Earl Clark, Channing Frye, Warrick, Robin Lopez and Almundson all in the frontcourt, so at least i dont think its such a big deal, and im excited to see this younger dudes play next year.
At least 1 of the 3 (2 rooks and Clark) should develop into a solid PF starter.

Also, the Suns are under the cap for the 1st time in ages, and they will be major players in the FA market next summer, when JRich's contract expires.

We weren't even suppose to make the playoffs last season, let alone finishing with the 3rd best record in a very tough western conference and almost make it to the finals.

The management made the best decision they could at that time. By not trading him, they put us in a position to win. Who knows, if the ball fell our way a couple more times and one less buzzer beater, we could have very well been playing in the championship.

Suns made a wise choice keeping Amare... If Kobe wasn't spectacular that entire series, Phoenix wins in 5 or 6.

lolz, the Amareless Suns will still have a better record than the knicks with Amare unless they get lebron.
