JJ wants in:

There are whispers that impending free agent Joe Johnson wants to commit to the Bulls early, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Along with Chris Bosh, JJ looks like he'll be one of the big-name free agents that ends up relocating. However, the Bulls will have to clear some more cap space if they expect to sign Johnson early and still have enough money left over for LeBron James. The Hawks, Heat and possibly Knicks are also expected to show interest in Johnson.

Wasn't that the same argument with the Celtics when they got Garnett and Allen? Who else would they have/come off the bench. And our potential starting 5 would be better than the celtics to begin with.

Off the bench, We would have Taj Gibson, who had an excellent rookie season and made 1st all rookie team to begin with. Our GM would put some nice pieces on the bench to suit our lineup. We wouldnt need much as it is.

Ray Allen, KG, Pierce, Rondo, Perkins > Rose, JJ, Noah, Bosh, Deng

Again, defense wins championships. Having the Bulls pick up two guys that don't play defense (especially Bosh) won't put them over the hump. Defense > Offense.

BTW, the Celtics had Tony Allen, Sam Cassell, James Posey, Leon Powe and PJ Brown coming off the bench in 2008. All solid defensive veterans (with the exception of Cassell).

Matchup wise, the only advantage the Celtics would have would be Pierce over Deng. And Noah, JJ, and Deng are pretty good defenders BTW.

Also, look at age. Our lineup would are all in their prime while the Celtics are all past their prime with the exception of Rondo and Perkins.

Face it, that team would kill the celtics and then some. You scared.

They picked for Washington. Trade cant go through till July 8th. Pretty much a done deal confirmed by David Alridge, Ric Bucher, and even the player drafted in the 17th spot Serafin? says that he is excited to be a Wizard.

Guys, the only way for the Bulls to get Bosh is in a sign-and-trade, which means they'd have to trade Noah + draft picks + Gibson, so a more realistic lineup would be.

Rose
Johnson
Deng
Bosh
Miller (we have to re-sign him first, but why wouldn't he want to come to a team like this?)

Didn't put LBJ in there since I think he's staying with the Cavs, and we can only afford two max contracts anyway.

Guys, the only way for the Bulls to get Bosh is in a sign-and-trade, which means they'd have to trade Noah + draft picks + Gibson, so a more realistic lineup would be.

Rose
Johnson
Deng
Bosh
Miller (we have to re-sign him first, but why wouldn't he want to come to a team like this?)

even with lebron, bosh, and joe johnson, bulls will still get beaten by orlando or boston in the playoffs.

that lineup is all offense

i think people are missing the addition of Tom Thibadoe (spelling) as well. Dude is a defensive mastermind. Only guy who was a legit defender before coming to the Celtics was KG. He has a great system that players buy into.

I hope they get lebron. that would be epic lulz. he's not gonna put up stats like he did in cavs anymore because he cant hold the ball for 90% of shot clock any longer. they won't win **** because they don't have enough shooters AND rose will leave to a good team and win a ring.

nice.

bulls are retarded for not keeping gordon.

Rose
Gordon
Salmons
Bosh
Noah

great core.

now they will be stuck with rose and lebron fighting for the ball, no post offense, no shooting and no rings. lulz

they wouldn't have all the extra cap space if they signed Gordon to a big contract lol

I like Ben Gordon - but he's not worth the money. How did that signing work out for Detroit? I'll take Lebron, JJ, Bosh, or a number of other free agents this year over Gordon.

I assume he's referring to the comment that the Bulls would need to work a sign and trade with Bosh. Why would they have to do that? Why not just sign him as a free agent?

That's what Bosh wants. He doesn't want to leave the Raptors high and dry.

He has a player option.

brb checking out LeBron's All Defensive First Team selection.

And Noah was top 3 in rebounding in the NBA before he got injured and was given limited minutes. He still finished top 5.

And Boston beating that lineup is just plain lulz

Unless a team needs to get rid of salary, then I'm doubting a team will trade players to get Bosh for the same money they could outright sign him for.

Bosh doesn't want to play for Toronto, and Toronto doesn't want him if he's unhappy, so they'll have to get rid of him someway.

Lebron is an overrated defender, don't kid yourself with those espn highlights.

I liked Hinrich, but I'm happy about this trade because it cleared up more money so we can sign a huge free agent. I can't wait until Free Agency starts.

ESPN highlights or not, he made the 1st all defensive team and ESPN didn't vote him in for that. Well, there was a couple voters that work for ESPN but still.

Id really like... Lebron, Bosh, and JJ Reddick... JJ proved he can be a force in the playoffs even only being in the league 4 years. I think he could be a solid SG off the bench and offer great minutes and possibly even be a starter with the cast he will have around him I think it would only benefit him even more... with rose and lebron spreading the floor I think that would leave a wide open JJ. Im pretty stoked. Cuz if they signed JJ instead of Joe Johnson they could still afford to pay some more depth at SG and PF/C

Ok well what do YOU think makes him worthy of 1st defensive team? His chase down blocks?

his length. he can cover large areas in a very short span and has great reach and quickness. it means he can play small fast players and be so much bigger than them that they have no vision to dish or shoot. hes just as quick.

you wouldnt know that because youre a jackass hater. his chasedown blocks are highlights and great hustle plays but he also clogs passing lanes and contends shots with his length

whoa you are misinformed..... Bosh doesnt give a **** about the Raps only reason why he would want to sign and trade is so he gets max money, if he were to sign with a different team hed lose some mills

This.

Cavs are one of the best defensive teams in the league, despite having guys like Mo and Shaq and Z play substantial minutes, and a lot of that is due to LeBron. He isn't a very good on-ball defender, but his help defense is very, very good. Because of his athleticism he's able to recover on misses and collapses way faster than other guys. This is really the reason that he got voted 1st team.
