imo

1) get rid of jason kidd

2) get rid of dampier

3) get a center that can put up points

4) get a point guard that can actually beat someone 1 by 1

5) get a SG that isn't 5.10

I thought Mavs were pretty good. Spurs wanted them and got the best of them. They beat the spurs last year so only fair pay back. Next up suns.

6) get rid of dirk

lol Dirk is a HOF'er who has gotten the Mavs to the playoffs 10 years in a row despite never having a championship contending team, one of 4 players to average 25 ppg/10 rpg in the playoffs EVER

are you kidding? Dirk only got to play with complete scrubs like Nash, Finley, Jamison, Walker, Howard, Kidd, Terry, Marion, Butler, etc throughout his career, non of them even made the AS team, ever.

he never stood a chance of winning

not srs

Yea because of Dirk. Who is the best player Dirk has ever played with? It had to be Nash like 6 years ago, before Dirk even hit his prime. Since then what, a 37yr old KIDD?

Only people even worth mentioning on a championship caliber team are Nash, Howard, and Terry in relation to the point in the career these players were at, and I'm sure Dirk being double teamed because he can shoot from anywhere on the floor has nothing to do with inflated numbers right?

As I said before, only one of FOUR players EVER to average 25 ppg/10 rpg in the playoffs DESPITE MAKING THEM 10 YEARS IN A ROW

ya Dirk is the heart of the problem on the Mavs

technically Dirk can opt out and become a free agent as well.... though he'd miss out on 21 mil for the season lol

with such a huge year in FA it'll be interesting to see which motivates certain players more..... money, or contending

Dirk would get a Max deal if he opted out so I seriously doubt he would miss that 21 million.

athletes have tended to be surprisingly greedy so who knows

were I him I would sign with a team like the bucks (srs)

star PG in the making, solid C in bogut, eastern conference, would put instant money on them making the finals
