Tomorrow marks week 12 of my cut. Progress is still slow but I am starting to see a little change in the abs and delts. My waist has gone down 1 1/2 inches and my body fat is in the 12% range now. Total weight loss is 15 lbs (214 to 198). I have a huge respect for those of you who actually compete and achieve low single digit body fat numbers.......it is tough as hell! My goal is 7% body fat but I don't think I will make it below 10% on this cut. I will start my clean bulk in 4 weeks and stay focused on my long term goal. Thanks for all the info shared on this board.....It has been a great source of information and motivation!

Congrats and repped, getting down to 12% that is some serious progress!

Due keep in mind though, the closer you get to an ideal BF the more difficult it's going to be. That's why fat loss plans always use a few 500 lb persons as their proof that the 'acme-widget diet' works... with the 8 point light-gray font reading "results not typical" hidden at the bottom on a white background.

If you're slightly overweight, you can't loose 25 to 50% of BF in a short period of time... and you're not even slightly overweight, you're f***ing cut as it is brah. Don't get too hung up on seeing single digits.

Anyways, just keep progressing toward your goal but don't forget to enjoy the trip while on your way... it's not the destination... it's all about the journey!

Thanks for the encouragement and perspective. Progress has slowed up a great deal as I have gotten closer to goal. Thanks for the rep and the motivation....We all need it every now & then to stay comitted & focused.

Well done

Noticed you and steve look alot alike in shape and symmetry. He's leaner so maybe this is where youre heading.

With a lot of work I may get there one day.

Abs definitely have deeper grooves. It's funny though, am I the only one that thinks they look photoshopped because of the color? LOL. I'm not doubting you BTW.

I'm also jealous of the pipes in the bicep, looks cool.

Definitely a difference there man, good job! http://assets.bodybuilding.com/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif

I think if you post your (detailed) diet, the nutrition gurus can give you some tips. I'm no expert, but the key to single digit bodyfat will be found in your macronutrient profile.

Also, what's your training look like? Any cardio, or just resistance work?

No Photoshop...just i-phone photo. I have been tanning for a beach vacation I am going on so that does favor a little bit of definition in the ab dept. Thanks for the compliments though....cutting for me is really tough and I have had mixed results in the past. By taking members advice on diet, cardio, carb cycling and plain old not quitting I am finally getting some o.k. results.

Diet is whole food based macros with whey supplemention. Lots of vegtables for micros & fiber. Cyling carbs with careful G-index awareness. Low intensity cardio 3x per week. 5 day workout split focusing on core basic free weight exercises. L-glutamine at night, 7 meals a day, 7-8 hours sleep at night, no alcohol.....That's about it :)
