Just wondering what kind of rep range would be best suited for a a sprinter when bodybuilding. I currently do heavy weight low reps (3-5reps) for most exercise.

EDIT: Goal is to aid sprinting (athletic performance)

I'm not expert, but as a fellow sprinter, I've seen pretty dramatic results from using the 5x5 method for a month. That alone has helped drop my 60M Hurdle time about .8 seconds and my 200M time about a second and a half. Love the squat!

What is your goal, is it to improve athletic performance or look better? Are you bodybuilding in the off-season?

^Thats the routine of Tom Green, a world class sprinter in the 100 and 200 meter events. Not sure if your training for the same events, but in his program he stuck to the rep range of 5-8. He says sets and reps were changed throughout the year, but generally he used the 5-8 range.
