View Full Version : Smoothies/Fruit juices/blendered drinks

Just got myself a blender. Mainly to make drinks on afternoon/night time for the morning in work so I dont have crappy fry-up meals from the cafe. anyone got any good resources / recipies (no bulking ones please). Also is it a good idea just to throw loads of fruits in to make a drink or make specific ones ?

at the minute im just throwing apples, oranges, banana protein powder, blackberries, carrot, cucumber, ginger, pear, melon and some other stuff in to make a morning shake to go with some hard boiled eggs

Fruits
Veggies
Spices
Milk
Icecubes
Yogurth
Ice cream
Nut butter
Protein Powder
Oats
...

Choose what you want and blend it

Tip: Do NOT blend broccoli slaw

Tip: Do NOT blend fish oil caps

Do a search about "nasty shake" or "nastiest shake" or "nastiest blend" and you will see some threads about stuff that people blended that did not work out so well.

cool thanks guys

I did a search before making the thread and seen a guy who was talking about making tuna sarnies and blending them because he didnt have time to eat them.

so is just throwing loads of fruit and veggies together a decent idea ?

when putting the stuff I put into a smoothie into my calorie counter. mixed fruits and protein powder my shake is bouncing up to around 300-400 cals ! is this right ?
