I have been searching on the proper way to do it. Is it relaxed or flexed when measure your body parts, like my calves for instance?

It is totally your preference......Just do it the same way, same place everytime in order to get an acurate progression.

It's personal preference, but I would think the majority would go for flexed.

I try to get flexed, but it isnt always that easy when you are doing measurments yourself.

I don't know about the other parts, but around here when doing biceps it is always flexed PLUS at least one inch....... I'm sure that rule applies to the Johnson too.
