I live in New England and feel like college football fans are fairweather at best here. Other parts of the country have diehards, especially in the SEC. Just an observation.

I personally like the BCS system because every game counts. It has its flaws though.

This. College football isn't bad but it's hard keeping up with all the players in the nation.

I'm originally from Boston but moved to NC when I was like 10 and college basketball is hyooooooooooooooooge here in NC, especially with UNC and Duke being the primary teams here

and i could never get into it, March Madness would come along and ppl would be talking college BBall and it would just bore the **** outta me

I like pro more. I think part of it has to do with your upbringing. A lot of my friends who are big into college sports have parents who were also big into college sports. College sports are huge here in VA though. I was just raised into pro sports I guess, and I don't go to a big university with a well known sports program like UVA or VT. VCU basketball is always entertaining though.

Nothin's better than goin to happy valley for a penn state game. I'd imagine other college fans feel the same way about their teams. The atmosphere puts it over the top for me.

From the time a player starts to play in Pop Warner, the NFL is the end destination.

Don't take BB.com Sports Section logic too seriously.

this. 110k+ at beaver stadium for a white out is just about as good as it gets if you are a football fan.

College Basketball is almost impossible to watch for me. No one can break the zone defense, the shot clock is way too long, and even so they still end up chuckin a 3 at the end anyway.

I like pro sports ALOT better. I just can't watch inferior competition while knowing there are far superior athletes available.

teh brahs play with more heart, and aren't motivated by greenbacks They're not? They get no benefits from it? Just like people do un-paid internships for the love of the job, right?

stupid argument is stupid.

Oh and if you truly care about the "heart" that they play with, why don't you go watch some pee wee football, those kids truly have heart.

I always lol at "college sports are better because they aren't playing for money/have more heat." Just LOL. A lot of them are playing for money (Reggie Bush, OJ Mayo), scholarships, and/or a chance to play FOR MONEY in the NFL.

Just started to get into college football the past couple of years and I enjoy it just about as much as Pro football. It's a completely different game and I find it's more exciting to watch. I also prefer Junior hockey to NHL hockey.

And plus, I'm too comfortable with pro sports. I have my favorite teams, players, etc. I wouldn't even know where to begin if I dipped my foot into college sports.
