View Full Version : I think Boise State has a legit shot of making the NC game next year

They are returning all their starters and are only losing 1 guy. They will probably be ranked 2 or 3 on the final ranks and I think they may be able to do it provided they run the table.

Boise St. has to play VT in Blacksburg so probably not going to go undefeated. Props to VT for playing them though.

definitely seems possible

going undefeated plus their performance this year very well may be what makes them the first mid-major team to make it to the BCS

(not sure if a mid-major team has ever made it and am too damn lazy to look so I'm assuming no)

What's their schedule? That is the only thing holding them back. They choose not to schedule consistently difficult opponents for their non-conference games. If teams like Boise St. want to be in contention for a National Championship they need to be scheduling teams that the BCS and fans have deemed difficult opponents. Since they make schedules years in advance I don't see this happening for a long time.

I simply do not see BSU getting into the title game unless there are no undefeated BCS teams.

I hope they do. It will be good for the lulz to see Ingram run for 300 yards on them.

Yes. We all hated on boise because of how immature they were early on, but if they're returning just about everyone its probably legit. They rolled TCU.
