I was in the gym today and overheard some kids talking about how outdated it is to wear jerseys. Is this just that whole "black kids dressing like white punk kids" era in effect?

I grew up in an era that made my 80+ jerseys seem normal. I'll only sport a nice authentic these days, but I still love them. I'd love to get my hands on one of those real fitted game cut jerseys!

ok just a tip for those of you who are an adult (18+) and don't want to look mentally challenged: Never wear a jersey under any circumstances unless you are attending a game.

No. If you're older than the person who's jersey you're wearing=FAIL and you look like a douche.

And/or if you wear a jersey outside of the game. Then fail.

The only jerseys I own are game used ones. The Browns have a locker room sale during training camp every year and they sell all kinds of cool sh*t. They sell the jerseys for around 50 bucks if I'm thinking right. No current players though. I don't wear them though because of the cut of the jersey. The shoulder area is huge obviously because the room needed for pads and I don't have the arm size to fill out the elastic around the arm holes. why would I spend the money if I'm never going to wear them? I just like collecting that type of stuff.

Lol @ calling us who don't wear jerseys true fans.

The difference is we're grown men now so instead of wearing jerseys we wear hats, t-shirt's, and sweatshirts.

This is ok as well, although ive never worn my jersey to the bar personally (but I dont go to the bars to watch games very often either)

There needs to be a reason you're wearing the jersey though. People who just wear jerseys around like they're normal shirts are douchebags.

I remember everyone wearing jerseys when I was in middle school. Not so much since then, they look stupid on adults unless you're at a game.

That one is closer, it just says Packers on the chest and 12 on the shoulder. Its a Reebok shirt. Ive got the Rodgers one and a Robin Yount Brewers player tshirt.

They are for people who arent 7 years old.

...but who have a 7 year old's bank roll. Cute. I've never seen a 4 year old rock a $300 Mitchell & Ness Troy Aikman '94 throwback before.

I have seen a lot of girls wear those shirts too though, now that I think about it... interesting choice.

a better question is

why do grown men care what other grown men wear?

i don't wear my jerseys as a fashion statement, it's to proudly show the team that I support
+ it's a great ice breaker whether good or bad

met my current gf because of my Pats jersey, went into sports store at the mall to buy a new Patriots hat and she just happened to have a pats jersey on as well and we got to talkin AND BOOMM PROTEIN EVERYWHERE!
