a guy who has those stats wont likely develop into anything, hes just there for the money
he has no passion for the game whatsoever

1) Even as a UConn student I could tell you his stats wouldn't be good.
2) He's not getting play time
3) He needs to bulk up
4) He's a project. He's still learning the game (never played basketball once until he was 15), and as he got better and better in the NCAA, I expect the same to some extent in the NBA. But he's a defensive player, not an offensive player.

You can't say he has no passion for the game. You don't know anything about him, you probably never even heard of him until he exploded as Big East player of the year.

He's shooting 61.3% from the field, and is averaging high blocks and rebounds according to his playing time (3 ppg, 3.2 rpg and 1.1 bpg in 11.1 mpg equates to about 9 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks per if he was playing 30 minutes)

No one including the Grizzlies knew that Hasheem wouldn't come in right away and dominate or anything close to that. This guy is a prospect and was chosen because he can develop to be something special but right now he is still learning and working hard to be that monster he can be in the NBA. Give him 3 years at least.

Ciamillo Castoria was far from a bust, just injury prone.

Thabeet cannot be labeled a bust yet (not even close man wtf) and they do have a good point guard. Conley had a solid season last year and is working on another one now.

these, Thabeet is still green, once given the playing time he will provide solid stats and more importantly - overall defense

reason he is not getting PT is cos the Griz are aiming for playoff contention this year, thus forced to play Gasol and Randolph who are obviously better players as of now

conley is garbage. probably bottom 3 starting pg in the league with a handful of backups on other teams that **** all over him.

I wouldnt label anyone bust until they have gotten a chance with enough playing time and have played out there rookie contract. Im not a fan of him though.

I called it a bust before. Blair dominated him in college, search YouTube for more verification. Look at how small he is(size, not length). No way is he going to be able to deal with people much smaller than him when they can push him away with one hand. Give him enough time being a pro where he can gain some muscle and he has potential to be a solid starter, but I don't see nothing more.

I don't think Brandon Jennings is the future of the NBA. So what, he had one really great game. I'm not impressed enough to think he'll even be on an allstar team soon.

So we're supposed to judge a project center's future based on 1/3 of a season of barely any playing time?

He looks pretty damn raw, but a couple of times this season he's shined in games at times.

Gotta give him a few years at least before you can draw any real conclusion on him.

3 years down the road I see the guy a huge defensive presence in the post. Possibly a Dikembe Mutombo type player.

ATLEAST Thabeet can Block/rebound.

Morrison can't shoot,pass,dribble,block, steal. Nothing.

Only thing he can do is steal high fives.

You can't call him a true bust just yet, when dwight howard first got to the magic, he was also tall and lanky, and only averaged 12 ppg, 10 rpg, and only 1.7 bpg, and thats because he was also playing 32 mpg. I say you give him at least three more years to develop, he is only 22 years old, and give Memphis time to improve the team around him.

Let's be reality, it's easy to dominate a guy when you wrap his arm up over your shoulder and throw him to the ground deliberately.

People are so fast to judge

I wouldn't call him a bust just yet. He's getting about 10 minutes a game, and he's in his first year. Give him 30+ minutes a game for 82 games for a few years, and that will tell you the real answer.
