Here's something I've been wondering. For breakfast everyday I have 300 calories of either cheerios or oatmeal with a serving of muscle milk mixed in. I know cheerios have a significantly higher GI than oats so they'll digest more quickly blah blah blah... Does this really matter if both fill me up fine until lunch time and don't cause me to eat different amounts of food later on? I do my workout in the middle of the day eating cheerios or oatmeal in the morning doesn't seem to effect my output during the workout. Since cheerios burn quicker will I be less likely to build/maintain muscle from these carbs / will they more likely turn to fat? Will there be no difference? I've been confused about this and would like some help, thank you to anyone who responds!

cheerios do have a higher gi but you have to take in to account the other foods your eating with it. the fat and protein in muscle milk will slow dowb digestion
