View Full Version : What Kind of Drink Should I Bring with Myself to the Gym?

I'm doing the Starting Strength routine, and right now I'm 165 pounds (5'9") trying t gain more muscle. What kind of drinks should I drink between my sets, energy drinks like Monster or drinks like Gatorade? Because I sometimes feel exhausted after my heavy lifts, like deadlifts, and rows.

maybe something like Size On and Superpump250. This works for me.

Purple Wraath, IntraAid, Intrabolic.......any should do...I prefer Purple Wraath, I can def. feel a change in my energy when I'm not taking it like I am now, friggin ran out and don thaev the money to buy any! But Wraath would be my choice

If you are losing energy then that means your body isn't fueled properly. You need to eat more foods with carbs, especially right before the workout. I really like to do 1 scoop cytogainer 30 min. before I lift and 3 scoops after to replace my glycogen storage and feed my muscles.

don't waste your money on L-arginie and caffeine supps. If you have low enough BF% your veins will pump fine and a proper diet will always be better than caffeine in the long haul of the muscle game.

Jack3d if you feel exhausted just for the energy not really for the pumps.
The first time you take it, you will be wide awake the WHOLE day (but i took 3 scoops at first so idk if 1 scoop is enough) but you can buy it from the bodybuilding.com's store

I would like to know your diet before telling ya to start taking other supps. Its always best to start with the basics and get that worked out before you start adding more to it.

Good stiff rum and coke! ;) JK I just stick with water out of the fountain cuz I hate carrying a container around with me. I prefer pre-workout supps like Green Mag.

During my workout I drink my own concoction of gatorade/5g creapure/1/2 scoop whey. It's cheap and effective. (I sometimes take a pre-w 30 mins before, as well, usually superpump, or wf).

Ideally, I like SizeOn. Xtend as a backup (or better yet, SizeOn with a scoop of Xtend added)

I also add -

PLCAR, Agmatine, and a scoop of Alpha-GPC.

Scivation Xtend my man! Its definately the way to go! Do a search or go to scivations website to learn more about it. I dont think you will ever find a Scivation Xtend review where the person who purchased it was not happy with it. My wife and I love it.
