That may be part of the reason, less ratings. There is a Thursday night game this week, I think.

Because a regular season NFL game would crush in the ratings a baseball game. World Series or not.

i remember last year they took a night off too. Monday Night Football does also. Might be for the Commentators to have a break.

LOL damn, can't get much more conclusive than that... although I'd imagine a SNF game on NBC would get better ratings than an NFL Network game.

wrong.

Fox cant tell NBC to not show a football game, NBC would laugh at them. I dont kno about licensing at all but i assume when NBC negotiated the contract with the NFL there was a clause that excluded them for paying for a game when it was up against the world series.

waddle and silvy for ESPN Chicago reported that the MLB bought the time slot from NBC.

I know man. I wanted a game tonite. Least my Dolphins swept the Jets this season
