In light of Miles Austin's recent 2-game beastmode outburst totalling 421 yards in 2 consecutvie games, it is rather apparent that 400+ yards receiving in 2 consecutive games is pretty rare

Jerry Rice did it in 1995 during the last 2 games of the season (14/289 and 12/153) and TO did it 5 years later (6/129 and 20/283)at the end of 2000

reps for someone who can provide me some proof/box scores/stats of a WR not named "Jerry" or "Terrell" who has broken 400 yards receiving in 2 consecutive weeks

This isn't one of my typical "loaded questions". I honestly don't know the answer to this one, or if there is an answer. Maybe those 3 are the only ones who have done it?

I knew that TO and Rice had done it. I have found 2 others who did it. I'm interested to see if someone else might know of anyone. Usually this is the type of thing that homer would know.

Also, did a little more searching, and Jim Benton did it in 1945.

flipper anderson :)

yup, that was an easy one, since he's the record holder for reception yardage in a game

repped! Wasn't going to go back that far, but reps anyway

there are a few more. 2 in the "modern era", and I'm sure several from the AFL years.
