View Full Version : Mirrors or Numbers?

So according to free dieting, I should lose at least a pound a week eating 2200 calories. Ive been doing this for four weeks and I've been staying at around 182 pounds?!

However, I can definitely tell that I look better and that I've developed muscles, esp around shoulders. Could it be that I'm losing fat but gaining muscle? Ive been trying to lose 10 pounds (reach 170) and be at 8/9% body fat. But should I just ignore numbers or should I continue to go on my 2200 calorie diet and expect to lose weight?

if the numbers matter to you, drop cals, or eat more protien.

If you like your results, then stay.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Look at numbers first until you notice progress in the mirror. Then go solely on mirror and just check the numbers every once in awhile to keep up with your progress.

If you already notice progress, then I'd forget what the numbers say and keep doing what you're doing for now.
