Vjax is getting exposed as LEGIT this year.. Malcolm is taking over for CC and Weddle is that quite player that just handles business with NO flash. Good picks though :P

Vincent Jackson would be an absolute STUD receiver if he weren't such a quivering pussy. He plays football with his head on a swivel, trying not to get hit by anything and everything. He's athletic as hell and has the PERFECT WR build, but, he's got some sort of mental block that's keeping him from being great. It's been that way since his college days, too.

Why else do you think LenDale White's slow ass got 700 yards last season? ;)

Yeah Vincent Jackson is definitely on the rise and he'll probably be a top 5-6 receiver in the league by the end of the year. :)

Weddle seems to the best tackler on the team, seems like he comes up with all of the tackles in the run game with all of the other bums missing.

As long as he keeps posting 100+ yard games and dominating every DB he goes against he can be the biggest "pussy" ever :P

I've always thought Donald Driver was very underrated by most people. He's never really been in the discussion of top WRs during his career but he's closing in on 600 catches for his career, six 1000 yard seasons (five in a row) and is on pace for 75 catches and 1243 yards yet again this season. He's been a basic lock to have an 80 catch/1200 yard/7 TD season for the past five years and has never once bitched after a game when he hasn't had a lot of throws come his way.

And Orton is 3-0 as a starter on the Broncos and in the top 10 for QB rating while Grossman is riding the pine for the Houston Texans.

Does your argument or logic go any further than that?

Or did you serve that one up on a tee?

Or did you serve that one up on a tee?

I'm pretty sure that Orton has faced the Raiders, Browns, and Bengals defenses. Orton is an average QB, just like how everyone says he is. He's neither underrated or overrated. If you honestly think Orton will continue these kinds of stats than you need to get your head checked.

SpiderSense

Oh so were not comparing Orton to Grossman anymore????

Come on dude, you had such a strong argument there

Are those not the same Raiders who lost to the Chargers by 4 points on a last second play?

What was going on that game????

I mean did the Broncos just barely beat the Raiders and Browns or did they blow them both out?

Remember how when they beat the Bengals the excuse was the Jesus play?

Yeah you know what I'll buy your logic and excuses afterwards for a dollar

And Vince Young has been sitting out almost 16 game season while Orton is 3-0 this year.

What is so hard to comprehend about that again?

You're arguing benched QB's success over a guy who is starting and successful right now.

JuicintheJuice
09-29-2009, 12:12 PM
Fletcher should top everyone's list.

But the sleeper- Steven Jackson. Yes, everyone knows he puts up good numbers and hes a very good HB. But I don't think people realize just how good this guy would be if the Rams had any sort of passing game or offensive line. Don't forget that the Rams are constantly behind in games because of their ****ty defense so they have to constantly pass. He would be putting up peterson-like numbers if he had a defense or offense around him. His prime has been wasted in st louis.

That was the point you idiot. The point was proving that your stupid stat of games won means absolutely nothing considering the horrible QBs that have also won games.

And Vince Young has been sitting out almost 16 game season while Orton is 3-0 this year.

What is so hard to comprehend about that again?

Exactly. Your stupid attempt at trying to judge how good a QB is by the success their TEAMS has had is pointless. Those two QBs have great records as starters, just like Orton. And just like Orton, they are average QBs who wouldn't start on a lot of teams.

London Fletcher is a great LB but please dont judge a LB just by how many tackles he makes. Tackles arent even an official statistics in the NFL. I hate it when people look at tackles to judge how good a LB really is. Also dont judge a player by how many pro bowls he has been to. Pro Bowl doesnt necessarily mean you are a great player.

manning may not be the most underrated, but he is definitly underrated. just because he got a huge contract extension doesnt mean hes overrated. how much was rivers contract extension? are you aware that eli and rivers numbers are pretty much the same? and guess whos got the jewlery? yet people will take rivers over eli in a heartbeat.

the fact is, eli wins games. he never gets flustered and handles pressure probably better then anyone in the game. he may not be peyton or brady, but he definitly deserves way more credit then he is given.

But he doesn't get that much coverage, simply because his numbers aren't that flashy.

I should have never started arguing with you.

You're like the Incredible Hulk of arguments.

The more and more we go on your logic grows stronger and stronger

Kyle Orton IS starting on his team right now and IS 3-0.

You're still comparing 2 QB's who can't get off the bench to one who plays and wins.

By your logic Pac Man Jones = Antoine Cason

I mean they both have 4 career INT's even though 1 will be playing this Sunday while the other isn't even in the NFL anymore.

I never really understood the fascination with Gates, every year he's in the pro bowl and rated a 99 in Madden. I guess I dont watch many Charger games. (Yes I realize he has good stats)

But for some reason every time I watch a Colts game, Clark ALWAYS stands out, he makes big plays when they need to happen and is Manning's go to guy on 3rd down. I dont know many TE's that run routes like a WR (aside from Witten) and is also used on reverses.

For a while Clark was a slot receiver along with Wayne and Harrison on the outside, **** was unstoppable

Clark is good, but keep in mind Gates has basically had ZERO help from WRs in his career. Gates has pretty much been the #1 receiver for the Chargers. And the stats don't lie, Gates pisses all over Clark in just about every category. He's been much more important to his team than Clark ever would be.

Shaun Hill, he's 10-4 as a starter, with not much of a supporting cast. Sure Frank Gore is great to have, but his receiving corp has to be one of the bottom 10 in the league. He's not real flashy, but he manages the game well and does not make a lot mistakes

Homer picks: Heath Evans FB Saints. We got this guy from the pats this year and he has been absolutly amazing. He already has two td catches this year and is responsible for the 34 yard td hurdle by thomas against the bills (he decleated the line backer in his kick-out block)

Non-homer pick: Adrian Wilson SS Cardinals. Watch this guy play. He is an absolute beast out there. Plus he can jump completly over you. Youtube adrian wilson if you don't believe me.

mario williams has been better than anyone who wouldve been drafted ahead of him, and still gets not so much coverage. hes been very consistent.

Patrick Willis is a great LB as stated above

I think Aaron Rodgers is better than the coverage he gets... he's still under favres shadow, and is working his way out.

The first guy that came to my mind was Fletch and he's been mentioned several times already.

Steven Jackson's career can be summed up with a giant IF. He needs to stop being a pussy and play 16 games and maybe we will see that 2006 talent flashed again.

Maurice Jones-Drew...hasnt been to a Pro Bowl....YET...I believe hell be going this year barring injury

Also that cocksucker Vince Young got Rookie of the Year honors over him, which was a total JOKE!

Might be the best all around back in the league, behind Adrian Peterson

Well he's got the chance to prove it this year now that he's basically the only back on the team. Not sure that he's the second best all around back in the league, but he's certainly talented, we'll see how this year ends up.

A. The pro bowl is a joke, but Jones-Drew has been a splitting time back up until this season.

B. Colston probably would have(deservedly) edged MJD for ROY that year.

You obviously do not watch him regularly. He's a leader of the team and does SO MUCH MORE on the field than make tackles.

I agree about the Pro Bowl, many players make it because of their past performances and name...others do not make it because they do not get as much exposure or aren't self-promoters, like Fletcher.

B. Colston probably would have(deservedly) edged MJD for ROY that year.

I wouldnt have been against Colston being ROY, but that suck ass Vince Young DID NOT deserve it

We can compare stats of Rookie Years and see who looked the best

Colston
G GS Rec Yds Avg Lng TD
14 12 70 1,038 14.8 86T 8

MJD
G GS Att Yds Avg Lng TD Rec Yds Avg Lng TD FUM Lost
16 1 166 941 5.7 74T 13 46 436 9.5 51T 2 1 1

Vince Young
G GS Comp Att Pct Yds Avg TD Int Sck SckY Rate Att Yds Avg TD FUM Lost
15 13 184 357 51.5 2,199 6.2 12 13 25 129 66.7 83 552 6.7 7 12 3

I think MJD deserved the nod...had 15 TD's total his rookie year, and had more total yards recieving and running than Colston...also not to mention he returned a kickoff for a TD as well...

Vince Young was a joke...pathetic pass completion %, 12 Td's to 13 Int's, passer rating of 66.7, the lowest of a ROY winner EVER....

Yes. I was hoping the Skins could draft him to replace Rabach (more penalties yesterday) and they were actually considering him...but when Orakpo was somehow still available at #13, they had to take him.

If they had pick #20 or so, Mack would've been a Redskin.

Chris Harris- one of the hardest hitters in the NFL, great tackler too.

THIS! Will probably end up with around 12,000 rushing yards for his career yet no one ever talks about the guy. Been consistently a TOP 3 to 5 back for the last 5 years.
