Vote on who you think will have the best 2009 season.

Note I can ONLY pick 10 spots, so I put the top 10 IMO (based on teams/last year stats/etc.)

If you have another person just reply and add them and why they will have the best 2009 season.

A few guys left off that could easily have been on the list (but again only had 10 spots):

Brandon Jacobs (NYG), Marshawn Lynch (BUF), Steven Jackson (STL), Thomas Jones (NYJ), Brian Westbrook (PHI), Larry Johnson (KC), Maurice Jones-Drew (JAC), Willie Parker (PIT), and a healthy Darren McFadden (OAK)

I would probably go with Slaton, or Forte...

I'm not a huge fan of Forte, but I think he is going to blow up with a halfway decent quarterback

Honostly I don't really like to many of the RB's going into this years season, way to many qustion marks behind a lot of them. I could see a RB like Gore put up the best numbers this year, even though he isn't the best back. He has a weak defensive run confrence/ schedual. Also has Singeltary (spl) that wants to play smashmouth football.

Also on a side note..... I'd rather have Reggie Bush then McFadden

Yeah I like Slaton... and had Forte last year and still would like to get him on my team, but its an auction league so my guess is he'll be expensive. But I still do have some question marks on these guys.

Forte had a lot of fantasy points last year from reciving cause they had no QB/ WR, so it will be interesting to see if they still work him in the passing game with a better qb

Slaton also did pretty good last year against some tuff defenses, but I just am not completly sold on him yet, even though I liked the guy in college. Outside of Jac, and Ten he isnt really playing to many tuff Defenses which is nice, but he plays the SF, Buffalo, NE, and STL who most people think there defenses are going to be much better this year. He also has to play Mia, and the Jets... both teams had good run defenses but couldn't stop the pass.... so his rushing numbers will probable be low.

Only one answer, and it is the purple people eater, Adrian Peterson. Do not understand putting ryan grant on there over S-Jax who will be the focal point of St. Louis offensive attack with a new offensive lineman and over MJD who is taking the load now and with an improved line too.

Forte put up good numbers despite opposing defenses not respecting the QB, leading to him consistently facing 8 in the box. I doubt he's going to be facing that as much this season because opposing D's will have to respect Cutler's arm or get torched by it.

Steven Jackson: 2,000 yards rushing, 30 TD's

Agreed, We do have a great Oline, also we have improved are right side of are line alot, and AP has shown us all that he can do great things. Word is that he isn't doing any/ many endorsment deals this offseason, and has been hitting the weight room harder then ever, and has been watching more film then anyone else on the team. You hear that stuff of course your going to think he is going to have a great season. But after a season of 9 fumbles, It makes me kinda think we are going to use Chestor Taylor more. Also adding Harvin makes me think that were going to pass the ball more, use him in the wildcat, and use him has a gadget type player

I don't think those would necessarily be bad things; Taylor's a good back, too, and if Harvin is used well he creates a world of match-up problems. Minn's offense should be fun to watch this year.

Now I'm a Lions fan, so I'll hate every second of watching them get torched by the Vikes, but at least I'll be entertained while I'm ticked.

yeah obviously its not bad at all, but with AP's numbers they will most likely go down. I'm also really high on Taylor, we pay him so much and he had such at good 06 season I don't see why not we use him more then just 100 carries in a season. He's also a great back in the passing game, and we all know how well westbrook did while childress was with the Eagles.

If he plays at least 15 games, he will blow everyone out in yards from scrimmage.

Turner: 3,000 yards 55 TDs

I really think if they put Matt Ryan in the Slot, Turner has a chance at 54TD's.... but 55 is way to much. Also the 3000 passing yards kinda low, my guess its going to be in the 5100 range.

Matt Forte ran over defenses last year even when everyone knew all chicago was going to do was run.. AS A ROOKIE..

Now we have a quarterback who doesnt have a noodle arm... Hope he blows up this year for sure.

Wow, either the of you are extremely BIASED, or simply have NO clue about football. WHOEVER said RYAN GRANT is on f'n DOPE. Do you see the list? If you think Ryan Grant will do better than Adrian Peterson, Michael Turner, Steven Jackson etc etc..Your on a GOOD one!

This x2!..LT is aging, but I think he's gonna do A LOT better than what people are predicting. Turner is a stud, with a study QB and now they added Tony Gonzalez. Falcon will be a FORCE in the NFC. AP...Need I say more?

Ronnie is awesome and probably in the top 5 RBs in the league, but I still say Ricky >>> him. We occassionally get glimpses of "the old Ricky" during games these days. This season, he's gonna be back to his old self: scoring touchdowns and giving up fumbles (but scoring more touchdowns)

I voted peterson.
I hate to say this as a Browns fan but we open up against minnesota and if things haven't changed with the new regime we have, adrian could go for 150 or more in the first game. (srs).

And the poster who said felix jones, a good back but barber is gonna get a nice chunk of carries.

How are people voting for anyone other than Peterson? The only way it's not him is if either he gets injured or LT is actually 100% and starts running like he was in 2006 again (doubtful).

I didn't vote at all, but I would say Turner has a legit chance at being number 1. Obviously Peterson is the safest bet though.

Also the O-line has to play more consistent, which will improve just by having LT back there.

I was thinking about this some more. With SF getting Moran Norris back Gore could very well have a huge season. Raye plans to run the ball alot and Gore says he's feels more comfortable running behind Norris than anyone else. Norris was his FB in '06 when he ran for almost 1700yds
