Like spendings like this never happened in the past.

And it will continue like this if you take the apathetic "2 wrongs make a right" approach.

Fear not. This is typical campaign contribution pay back. Happens every election. Donate $1000 to their campaign, and they will pay you back $1,000,000 in tax payer money in this underhanded way. It has been getting worse, as they one up each other. Our goal should be to get both sides to agree to stop it, rather than attacking the people who already did it.

Libertarians talk about how things should be, but are not practical about enforcing it. They say anyone should be allowed to donate to anyone, any amount. Freedom. Yet that makes it so uninforcible to stop this obviously already illegal spending. That is why I believe only public money should be allowed for campaign contributions, divided equally amoung those who get enough signatures. Freedom of speech will still let you advertise issues, but not extra money for politicians.

How the hell do you expect libertarians to "enforce it", when they are a small minorty?

- What the **** do campaign contributions have to do with government spending? Nothing. Government stimulus is not something that happens every election. Stop making it seem like multi trillion dollar stimulus is typical; this is the first time it has ever happened.

- Public campaign financing is a joke. Firstly because half the money will be eaten by government bureacracy before a dollar even reaches the candidate. Second because donating then results in your money going to a candidate you didnt support.

Well hell that makes it all of it ok... why even bother accounting for any of it...

This is how you run your house? well we F'ed up back in 76 so its ok lets keep om doing it some more.. stupidity.. doctors use to saw off infected limbs because they didnt know better.. so we should keep on doing that too?

Your "logic" completely escapes me.. it sounds a lot like political bullsh*t than it does someone who actually cares about his country... incredible.
