View Full Version : Oatmeal effect prior to workout

Does anybody know what exactly oatmeal does to benefit a workout? My meal #2 is oatmeal right before I workout. I assume the carbs yield some energy? And does the protein in there yield anything positive as well?

ive been eating eggs and oatmeal pre-workout for as long as i can remember...i have a ton of energy in the gym..feel like i can go all day really...my advice would be not to eat it too close to your workout tho..give urself an hour or two before u workout..especially on a leg day...throwing up is not fun lol

hahahaha... that's funny, I just did legs yesterday. LOL... I'm ok with it, just can't run until the end of my workout cause I'm too full. Although it does give some energy for sure!

I have oats 30 min - 1 hr before lifting or cardio, no stomach problems.

Then agan, I think I have a strong stomach.
