If i mix in a scoop of protien to my oatmeal does the watter or oatmeal absorb the protien defeating the purpose or is it a good way to get some extra protien for breakfast..

Soory if it seems like a dum question but i figured i would get some imput..

Thanks for any responses in advance..

No, you'll be fine. I'd add the protein powder after cooking.

I mix mine in post cooking just because I have heard that the heat will denaturize the protein but I don't know if thats true or not. I would rather be safe and not waste the protien.

Mix it up first and pour the shake over top like you would milk.

I think you should be alright. I've never come across any problems mixing oats with my protein.

You're overthinking it. We cook meat without worrying about denaturing that protein, no? I have some great recipes for cheesecake and pancakes, etc in which I bake whey. :)

I just think microwaved protein tastes nasty.

protein in water is the same as protein in water+oats. Its fine to do.
