50%, 30%, 20%? obviously calorie,protein,fat but 50% of what? i never understood what you were eating 50% of.. your own body weight? i've heard of eating 3x your weight in calories.. 1-2g of protein for every lb of weight.. but the fat?

someone explain this to me.. plz

Example, your maintenance calories for the day equal to 3000 calories.

50% carbs = 1500 calories. Since 1 gram of a carb has 4 calories, therefore 1500/4 = 375 grams of carbs

Protein has 4 calories per gram.

Fat has 9 calories per gram.

it is not calorie protein fat

it is carbs protein fat or some do protein carb fat (in that order)

yeah, sorry i thought it was carbs, but didnt want to look stupid... kinda ironic.

50/30/20 is usually C/P/F (C as in Carbs), but Ive seen it as cutting macros like P/C/F, but IMO low carb/fat diets deplete muscle n energy
