I got 8-10 oz bottle (it is shaped like a bear) for $4.99 at my local healthy food store. Oh yeah, its organic too.

well if you have nice white teeth, i would advise against that. Honey is a great pre-post workout carb though.

This is the honey i would recommend. I live about 20 miles away from this place and its pure, raw, GREAT tasting organic honey.

you want the raw kind this is hard like butter instead of liquid form.

some of the highly reputable people on here suggest organic honey as the ultimate post workout carb source due to its profile. why is it so bad for my teeth?

Is honey important to get organic? I would check into it before spending the money. I would guess that raw natural would be a bigger difference.

Honey is as good as any man made carb source on the market, by the way, so good choice.

Hey the stuff you are looking at is not raw. It has been heated losing all of its many vital nutrients.

You might as well go to the grocery store and buy a little bottle. Big difference between raw honey and heated (destroyed) honey.

Raw still contains all the nutrients if it is extracted and stored right. That's why I recommend YS.

Oh, forgot to answer, ha... the best thing to get is local raw honey. They don't ship it all over the country so you pay less. I get 1lbs for $9. Local honey has also been known to help with seasonal allergies.

That honey you were looking at wasn't raw. Raw honey isn't processed or heated so it has more nutrients.

Honey is also used as an aphrodesiac in some cultures.

Honey is terrible for your teeth, it stained mine a deep yellow. Still bleaching the things to get them back to normal. Problem is you can't just brush it away, its really sticky and clings to your teeth.

I also blame the raw bee pollen. I still recommend RAW organic honey, if you want the many benefits of honey. But, if your just lookin for a carb source go to the store and get a normal bottle of honey, you don't need it to be organic.

Agave necter is also good. It is primarily fructose, like honey, so it is slow absorbing. Ideal for people who are worried about sugar/insulin spikes.

I've never had a problem with honey on my teeth. It's just sugar, so I rinse my mouth out... maybe Titdoctor was using buckwheat honey, or some other dark honey?

actually, buckwheat has more nutrients than other honeys, something to think about. but not sure how close to perfection you want to get... you could do that all day.

1 problem with raw honey, it is very very thick. Your better off eating with a spoon like you would PB.
