i am quite new to working out

i am doing weights 3 times a week and cardiio 2 times

i eat porride for breakfast
turkey on brown for dinner
and a good evening meal

in between all this i also have about 6 protein shakes with milk semi.

why am i fat around my gut???

is this what cutting and bulking is????

6 Protein shakes is roughly 900 calories. Add in the milk and you're getting almost 1300+ calories for shakes alone. That's horrible bro. Your diet needs adjusting big time.

First: Calculate your BMR
Second: Create a deficit on your BMR (500 cals) maybe more but you might sacrifice muscle, however you can always get that back.
Third: Stick to whole foods, Eggs, chicken, steak, cottage cheese, oatmeal. I don't know what a porride is lol.
Fourth: IF you're interested look in the Keto section and try a keto diet. It is my favorite for cutting, but not neccessary.


LIFE WEIGHTS, the more muscle you have the better your metabolism will work and the better you'll look.

Have you been keeping track of weight gain and calories eaten? If so, how fast have you been gaining weight (e.g. pounds per week)? Likely you need to slow down your intake some.
