Im an Irish fan and a realist(not a Chuck Weis fan). We aren't great, but with this schedule and our starters finally being JRs and Soph, I think we finally break through.

10 wins? Not a chance in hell.

Regardless of what you think of Weis, Tenuta has a defense loaded with players and that could take care of half of that schedule.

Right off the bat they are practically gauranteed 2 losses. (USC and Michigan)

Out of Pitt, Mich st. and BC, I see at least 2 more losses.

10 is just 2 high for an over/under.

ND goes 11-1 and plays Texas for the national championship. This is not my official prediction but iam leaning in this direction.

They are not winning 10 games.

FrontButt is a joke of a head coach and they are way too inconsistent.

And they need to hand the rock to Robert Hughes more.

They'll win 8 games, the Game vs state is a toss up, if they lose that one they'll win 7

They should get 9 wins. 10 if the ball breaks right.

The losses will come from USC

and one or two of these three:

Pitt, MSU, or BC

ND's offense is getting better, Floyd and Golden are a dynamic pair, and Rudolph's development will only help. Mike Ragone should be making ND's 2 WO, 2 TE, 1 RB set scary. Not sold on the RBs though... I'd like to see Hughes getting more carries

D-Line is iffy... Linebackers are young... secondary looks strong especially with Darrin Walls returning and Blanton's development

Honestly... I see maybe 9 wins

EDIT: *crosses finger* here's to hoping Manti Te'o doesn't go on his Mormon mission.. :D

I see them with 8-9 wins.

MSU- No Ringer, which was the only reason they beat us
Mich- No QBs, RB is a fumble machine and no WRs on the team
BC- Maybe
Pitt- No McCoy, but the other RB hurt us- Maybe

Hughes was injured last year so he didnt get much work. It doesnt look like he will get much this year either as Jonas Grey is looking like the all around RB they have been looking for.

Offensively they look stacked, but you never know with Chuck, you gotta run more than draw, screen and long ball. Defensively they have some pass rushers finally, some stud LBs and the best secondary they have had in 15 years.

I see notre lame getting 3 losses. Then getting blown out in a bowl game. Their schedule is soft as Charmin.

I respect Michigan and I know they will improve, but I just dont see it this year. ND took them out last year, they didnt lose anyone except Bruton and Michigan is in the same position they were last year. Their QB just broke his leg, they dont have a proven spread guy yet. Minor can hurt people, but he fumbles twice a game. They lost Clemons from their thin WR core. Offensively they are in trouble. Defensively they are respectable, but they have short corners and a lot of young guys.

Maybe I am wrong, but I just dont get how Michigan wins that game.

x2, michigan wont be anything special this year. The outstanding thing they had going for them was their d-line but they are mostly gone now.

Michigan won't be good again until Les Miles gets hired.

Pretty soon the negative stories will come out about Rich Rod and he will sink. There is too much going on behind the scenes for him to make this work.
EX: Clemons who was a 5/4* WR leaves Michigan because he doesn't want to be part of the spread offense and he named WVU as his favorite?

Yea haha the Michigan fans were so mad about that, but of course we get nothing but excuses when they come to our boards.

"he underachieved at michigan, he sucked and we're glad he's going to WVU"

**** like this.

I think the lineman transferring to OSU was the bigger insult though.

Michigan fans had TONS of excuses for that one too.

Yeah, Boren is starting this year at RG and his younger brother is there now too.

I am on the scout boards a lot and the funniest thing on the Michigan site is probably the biggest **** talker's name is Mallet2Clemons or some **** like that.

They are going to have their best year under Weis IMO. I could see them getting 10 wins. I wouldn't go over though.
