so? that's alright for a running back.

Brian Westbrook ran the 40 in 4.57 seconds. Say no more. I'm just glad teams/scouts overrate the hell out of these times, there's a slight chance Moreno could drop to AZ at the end of the 1st. I can only hope.

You wouldn't want to run the ball very much either with Edge playing at 70% and Hightower (5th round rookie) when you have Warner/Fitz/Q/Breaston. When Edge started running like he gave a **** (see: end of season and playoffs) we ran the ball a lot more. If we draft a RB in the 1st or 2nd along with a center, we will definitely be running more often.

when they were running the ball against the Falcs, they were dominating. Then they stopped suddenly and went all pass. which let the Falcs back in the game.

Donald Brown is the #1 back in the draft without a doubt. Whether he goes as the #1 back who knows, but whoever lands him is going to have one hell of a running game immediately.

More like say hello to a sub par RB class.

Well my point being, if we have a productive back we will run the ball. And I can't even remember the Falcons game outside of a few plays, my short term memory is ****. I was so happy we won I didn't pay attention to the negatives.

Agreed. Beanie Wells might be the best running back in this class, but I'm still not sold on him either. I hate it when people compare him to Steven Jackson.... Sorry, but no.

I still think Moreno can be a good running back in the NFL. 40 times are important, but they're not everything.

This.

And what is your reply, OP, to the fact that past great RB's have run the same time?

Wells will fade away like dust in the wind in the NFL.

LT officially ran a 4.54...
And Emmitt ran a 4.7
And Dickerson ran a 4.5

Moreno's skillset makes him the best back in this draft, not a freakin 40 time.

40 times for RB's don't always matter. It's stop and start quickness that matters more. They aren't punt returners or corners.

So I think we can all agree Wells is injury-prone and the 40 isn't as important as some would like to think.
