View Full Version : please critique my Cutting Diet.

morning(8:30 am)-whey protein shake, 1/2 cup of oats, 2 spoons of peanutbutter
35 grams of protein, 26 g of carbs, 20 g of fat

meal 2(11:30 am)- one chicken breast, and one banana
20g of protein, 27g of carbs 6 g of fat


meal 3(1:30 pm)- Turkey Breast Sandwich on whole wheat bread, with 1/3 cup of Almonds
13g of protein, 34.5g of carbs, 34g of fat

pre-workout (meal 4)- whey protein in water
35g of protein, 2g of carbs, 0.5g of fat

post workout(meal 5)-1 chicken breast with 1/2 cup of Veggies
23g of protein, 11.9g of carbs, 3g of fat

whey protein shake in water-
35g of protein, 2g of carbs, 0.5g of fat

before bed-1/2 cup of cottage cheese, 2 spoons of peanutbutter
22g of protein, 12g of carbs, 20g of fat


Total-204g of protein, 119g of carbs, 79g of fat and 2000 calories total.

I drink around 4.5 litres of water a day, and im 6'1 195 pounds. I have a skinny look in clothes but I got a gut that I want to get rid of.

I just wanted to know if my diet was any good for a cutting diet and I will make the corrections needed to make sure I can get to my goal.

Any replies are very much appreciated. I know people probably see these kind of threads 1000 times a day, and I tried making it as detailed as possible so there isn't as much confusion in terms of numbers.

Not enough calories for somebody your size. Your maintanence should be at 2838, so knock off 500 and you'd be at 2338.

thanks for the input, I appreciate it. I guess I will for sure have to find a method to get my calories up there. I'm sure that can be done with a few adjustments. I just want to make sure I am doing this right to get to my goal.
