I read you can overdose if you take multivitamins. That some stuff in multivitamins cancel out some of the other good ones that your body needs. So, should I not take a multi-vitamin? I was thinking of getting animal pak. But, after read you can get to much vitamin d and b. It kinda scares me. Is this true. Please help!

I guess moderation applies here. 1-2 animal paks a day = fine... 15 packs of animal pak a day, prob not?

Multi-vitamins are never bad, but they can increase your appetite.

Yes vitamin and mineral antagonsim exists. But there is also synergistic relations too. Most multis use sub-optimal forms which means sub-optimal absorption to begin with and the doses are generally not high enough in to warrant petrification.

Remember that your body can only absorb so much at one time.

How much do you remember when you sit through a 2 hour lecture jam-packed with dates, places, names, and events?

Yea, not much.

Unless it's timed-release (which most are not), break your multi-vitamin in half (should be a break "line" in it). Take it twice a day, morning and evening. You'll probably get much more out of it.

And no, they are not bad. It takes a lot to overdose, so don't worry. Just don't get the women's supp. if you are a man.

too arduous and time consuming to break the 50 pills that's given in each small bag when buying Animal Pak vitamins!

LOL..

You know you CAN buy adult vitamins, and break then when you need them :). Don't need to go breaking them all ahead of time. In fact that's a bad idea, oxidization will occur more rapidly to the broken section.

**** those pictures are sexy in10city.

i actually upgraded to source naturals because it appears to be well formulated rather than just arbitrary multiples of 50 and even %'s of the RDI.

I hate 1 a days too. They're ****. I'm prob gonna take source naturals 4 times a day, 2 at the very least.

I take children's gummy vitamins because the adult chewables taste like caca. I don't think taking multis in pill form is worth it because of poor absorbtion.

the only thing you can really get too much of with a multi is iron. it's unlikely that it will cause any health effects though.

I read a Harvard study saying men should not take multivitamins, as they have shown no signs of being beneficial...but could possibly lead to certain forms of cancer. Anyone have the link?

Yahoo answers. Thanks the great response peeps. It just got me a little nervous about taking a multivitamin. So, I figure I ask the experts on here.
