View Full Version : does anyone else ever have crazy random gains in strength?

like yesterday i went to the gym.
i normally do 365lb squats for 5 reps 4 sets.
i was just feeling really good and the weight felt really light so i decided to slap on 405lbs.
i did 4 sets of 4 reps.
and the crazy thing is this is all on a cut!

need pics of your hips going below your knees before i believe it or even consider it a squat. just saying..

oh dont worry about that i lift at my school and we have these beeper things that make you go lower than 90 degrees and once you pass 90 degrees the thing goes off. thats how i know i was fine. oh and i had some of my buddies tell me when i was good to come up as well. but its all good.

yea i have had times like those when you normally do x amount on say bent over row, then the next workout for some reason i was pushing out the same number of reps with an additional 10lbs added quite easily lol.. strange but it does happen time to time.

its highschool. we have a class for gym where its just lifting weights. but you have to follow the teachers routine which is horrible so i stopped taking it. but i still use the beepers after school =D

Well, my dumbbell presses went from 30s for reps to 50s for reps in 2 weeks. But that was because I had just start lifting, so teh noob gains.
