Can you measure your metabolism by the amount of bowl movements you have?
Is there anything more accurate?

Moving bowls around is not too accurate.

Anyhow, too many things can influence it to make it a good indicator of much if anything including dietary composition, fluid intake, exercise, etc...

Actually, you can get a general idea of metabolism from the bowel movements, not how many you have, but how long food takes to move through the bowels. The faster food moves through, the higher the metabolism.

A better way, though is to take your temperature first thing in the morning for a few days. Lower body temperatures are related to slower metabolism.

You should know, though, that new research now shows the "normal" body temperature to be 98.2F instead of the widely accepted 98.6F.
