The Dallas Cowboys have had some terrible drafts between 1994 and 2001. Hence the reason why they haven't won a playoff game in 12 long seasons.

But most of those drafts at least produced one starter, even though many of them were average. Some of them even sucked.

But their worst draft must have come in 1995. I look at this draft and don't even find one starter. As a matter of fact, it only produced one role player, Eric Bjornson. A guy who couldn't even be considered a true tight end. They didn't know what to do with him. Average, at best, and never was a starter. The rest of these guys didn't even provide good backups. They were terrible.

I think Sherman Williams was recently busted for moving drugs.

By the way, this was the last year they won the Super Bowl on the coat tails of Jimmy Johnson's assembled talent, no thanks to the Draft. Barry Switzer was the head coach, if you want to call him that.

1995
Rnd Name College Note
2 Sherman Williams Alabama
2 Kendell Watkins Mississippi State
2 Shane Hannah Michigan State
3 Darren Benson Arkansas State
3 Charlie Williams Bowling Green
4 Eric Bjornson Washington
4 Alundis Brice Mississippi
4 Linc Harden Oklahoma State
5 Edward Hervey USC
5 Dana Howard Illinois
7 Oscar Sturgis North Carolina

Aundray Bruce was a big time bust, but for a while there, Michael Haynes was a actually a pretty good reciever, in the Run n Gun offense. He was fast and had good hands. The rest of those guys, I don't remember, though.

Eddie Kennison wasn't too bad, was he? I'm not sure if he was 1st round material, though. Tony Banks sucked, big time. Lawrence Phillips was a mess.

thats coming up on 8 years, so of course those players arent in the league anymore. you cant expect more than 1 or 2 players to still be in the league after 8 years from each draft. the shelf life for an NFL players is so short. i was reading the average NFL career is like 3.5 years, so 8 years is a lifetime

Getting burned on that Joey Galloway trade didn't really help either. That 2001 class was quite loaded too from what I recalled.

The 01 draft was probably the best in recent memory. Got Backus and Raiola out of it. 2 starters in 08, which is pretty good since it was 7 years ago. Even though both of them blow. Got Shaun Rogers too

In recent years, the Giants have drafted fairly well. This is, in my opinion, their worst in recent years:

2000 - New York Giants
Rd Sel # Player Position School
1 11 Ron Dayne RB Wisconsin
2 42 Cornelius Griffin DT Alabama
3 73 Ron Dixon WR Lambuth
4 105 Brandon Short LB Penn State
5 140 Ralph Brown DB Nebraska
6 177 Dhani Jones LB Michigan
7 217 Jeremiah Parker DE California

Dhani Jones is the only player who you could consider as having a solid career.

Yeah that's true. I think only 2 made it to 2005 though lol

Yeah that's the the year Hurricanes had about 200 people drafted and 4 in the first round. Vick, LT, Brees, Ocho, Steve Smith.... That's all I can remember

lol Yeah, they're still playing. Not sure they should be but yeah, still playing. It's funny.... best draft class consisting of Backus and Raiola.

Half the players drafted were cut by training camp of the year they were drafted..

The others are all bench warmers or gone currently.

Qft.

Every year in that span, it was 1 decent player out of 6-7 picks.

That's a horrible ratio. God AL needs to draft football players, and not athletes.

I think recently though, the Lions have had the worst string..Harrington,Rogers and Mike Williams. God that's awful.
